We Indians have always had a strange preference for nautanki over real work. Demanding resignations after every blunder, and offering them as proof of accountability, is among the biggest examples of it. Lal Bahadur Shastri resigned as Railway Minister after major train accidents. But did his resignation stop train accidents? Decades later, Nitish Kumar also resigned as Railway Minister, taking moral responsibility after a train accident. Resigning is easy. Staying, taking responsibility, fixing what went wrong, and bringing lasting change to the system is the harder job. That, to me, is true remorse and accountability. But in a country where symbolism often gets rewarded more than outcomes, you are sometimes better off riding a buffalo to your village and pleasing everyone than building the road that transforms the village and arriving there in a Mercedes. We often applaud the spectacle of sacrifice more than the difficult, unglamorous work of actually fixing things.

These were the top trades on my #Reversals Watchlist today. #IOLCP was the best of the pack, but didn't give me an entry. However, since this was intended to be a holding trade, I'll look to reattempt it tomorrow as a #WickPlay setup. Both #BAJAJCONS and #MSTCLTD were weaker candidates and were considered primarily from an intraday perspective. While I'm less interested in #BAJAJCONS from here, I can still look to reattempt #MSTCLTD tomorrow as a #WickPlay. The rest will depend on how the final trading list comes out after scanning and shortlisting.
