i have a thesis that buybacks don't actually work hyperliquid makes $800M annualized revenue pump fun makes $440M annualized revenue $HYPE trades at $65B FDV while $PUMP trades at $1.4B FDV both teams do regularly recurring buybacks with portions of their profits from the business but they trade at vastly different ratios to their revenues i believe the difference is not in how much actual revenue is generated by the business but instead its reflective of the trust premium ascribed to the team determined by their actions and decisions in the market, hyperliquid never overpromised anything, only focused on shipping product and emphatically rewarded their core users based on pre-determined metrics that contributed the most to the platform, the core users of hyperliquid have a very high trust rating with Jeff, & even if you believe the perps revenues are slightly more durable which maybe they are, i believe this trust premium on their execution and social alignment with the community is a major factor in why the token trades so well in contrast, pump fun made $1B in revenue, raised another $1B in their ICO, and promised an airdrop to users that was never delivered, even though they are one of the most successful and consistent businesses in crypto, they do not have social alignment with their core userbase and therefore do not have a comparable trust premium that hyperliquid has, recently it seems they've made concerted effort to improve comms and talk to community more, i believe that if they were ever to seriously focus attention on shifting this dynamic by actually doing the airdrop they've promised and responding to the concerns of their core user base, then the token would trade 10-15x higher, as it would also likely materially increase their volume, attention, and resulting revenues on their platform bitcoin makes $0 in revenue but has a ~$1.3T market cap, it has the greatest trust premium of any asset to ever exist, people know that there will only ever be 21M coins, and they know that the network will always continue to function no matter what to fulfill its necessary actions this is part of what ive been talking about when i say that there is intangible value that contributes to the valuation of a business in addition to the tangible value that is determined purely from revenues and other metrics trust, memetics, and attention are all very important and heavily underdiscussed in markets

Prompting and training the agents is something we do on a weekly basis. Even with detailed / multi-layered prompts, artificial intelligence still needs teachers. We've seen a lot of protocols and pads release Ai features, however being in complete control of 4-5 agents all with specific targets just feels more comforting.

A stark reminder there are snakes waiting to pounce at every moment. As mentioned before, most of the funds drained were personal monies but is a reality that hacks happen in the most backdoor sense of the world. Build. Build better. Build on.

And you can't stop. You don't get to fall apart in the middle of it. The thing depends on you holding it together, so you hold it together, and you tell yourself you'll process it later. This is later. And it's all coming now, all at once, heavier than I expected. The anger. The shame that there was a door I left open. But here's what's carrying me through it. This community. You didn't turn on us. You didn't panic or pile on. You gave us room to work and you trusted us to tell you the truth, and you have no idea how much that meant while I was buried in it. So thank you. On July 1 our AWS account was breached through a misconfigured GitHub Actions OIDC role with admin permissions. ~5.5 hours of access. Two secrets read, two boxes rooted. We caught it, understood it completely, and rebuilt clean. Security Incident: Operational Wallets Compromised We want to be fully transparent about an incident overnight. **What happened** Early this morning (04:26 to 05:11 UTC, July 4), an attacker gained access to the private keys of our operational ("hot") wallets, the automated wallets our trading bot and staking keeper use day-to-day, and drained them. This was a key compromise on our infrastructure, and we're treating it with the seriousness it deserves. **What is SAFE** The cold treasury (hardware wallet) was NOT touched. The bulk of the MM treasury and SOL reserves are held offline and were never at risk. The MM liquidity pool / LP is intact. Liquidity was not drained. Staking is safe. Staked balances and reward vaults are on-chain program accounts, not wallet keys, so the attacker could not reach them. Our large TENDIES and BREAD positions also sit in cold storage and are untouched. **What was taken** The attacker emptied our hot wallets: roughly 22.6 SOL plus a mix of tokens including about 11M MM, and portions of our TENDIES and BREAD holdings. They dumped the liquid tokens into the market and cashed out an estimated ~64 SOL total. The selling you saw on MM, TENDIES and BREAD was the attacker, not the team. That is the source of the short-term price drop on those charts. **Attacker wallets (on-chain, for transparency)** Drainer: 3pgwPMxijQ57i4Tnxdsgs7H1Z61EjJRoYwWf2ey3wSbq Proceeds routed to: 5pVN5XZB8cYBjNLFrsBCPWkCQBan5K5Mq2dWGzwPgGJV **What we're doing right now** 1. Affected systems are offline and the bot is stopped. 2. We're rotating every key and secret and generating fresh wallets from scratch. 3. Full forensic review of how the keys were accessed, plus hardening our infrastructure by moving the treasury/dev role to hardware/HSM signing so raw keys never sit on a server. 4. Attacker addresses flagged and reported to exchanges. **What this means for you** No user funds, staked balances, or LP positions were affected. This was limited to our own operational wallets. Staking and the pool continue to function normally. Prices on MM, TENDIES and BREAD were pushed down by the forced selling and should stabilise as the dump clears. We're sorry for the scare. Thank you for your patience while we lock everything down. A full post-mortem will follow once the investigation is complete. Questions welcome.
