Sonia, If you’re parents, at the time of your birth, were foreign nationals, in the US illegally (eg, overstayed VISAs, entered illegally, etc), or were foreign diplomats, then NO, you are NOT a US citizen. The framers of the 14th Amendment made it patently clear that citizenship was only to be bestowed upon freed slaves and their children, and children born to US citizens precisely because they were under the full jurisdiction (political allegiance) of the United States. That’s just a historical legal (constitutional) fact. One may outwardly deny the reality thereof.
