Wemmer Substation (Kenilworth Distributor):
Following the isolation of the affected mini substation, the team is now replacing the MSS and testing will commence shortly.
However, we have now revised the estimated time of restoration to 23:00 pm this evening, provided there are no unforeseen complications.
The outage is due to a faulty MSS caused by oil leakage. This is impacting power supply to customers on Andrew, Leo, Leonard, Turffontein, and Van Hulsteyn Streets.
Please be aware that the ongoing rain may delay repairs and restoration efforts.

The transformer in Mayfair caught fire earlier on, causing a power outage for customers in the 7th, 8th, 9th, and surrounding areas.
The fire has been extinguished, and operators will now isolate the local transformer. However, repairs will begin tomorrow morning as they still need to clean the transformer and assess the materials required to resume work.
