@Rybo03 I think they need legitimate established NHL assistants to fix the defence and special teams losing Gulutzan hurt a lot.

I think he’s back if the players want him back (if McDavid does) but on a short leash. Unless Cassidy is actually wanting to come to Edmonton I don’t see them making a change unless it’s a top end coach

Three Quick Thoughts.... 1. Team was stuck in regular season mode, never found the playoff intensity needed. 2. All-Time pathetic penalty kill sunk them, atrocious. 3. Weren't built for a deep run anyway but still disappointing. Also, shout out Podz What you got tonight?

Its weird, im just not upset about the oilers these playoffs. Anyone who watched the regular season knew this team wasnt going deep. Hopefully propper changes are made in the off season and we come back healthy and rested

@nielsonTSN1260 Need a #1 goalie first, need better defence and special teams coaching, I would resign Murphy and Dickinson, and find a way to inject more skilled speed and youth into the lineup.

We are now entering the most important off-season in Oilers history.

Ok @EdmontonOilers this offseason is now a gift. Players get to rest and recover - Changes needed : - new defence coaching : Coffey isn’t the answer. - new special teams coaching PK needs complete revamp. - top need a legit #1 goalie, Jarry and Ingram are not the answer find him.

I hope they resign Murphy and Dickinson, and actually go out and get a legit starting goalie no more bandaid solutions, Ingram is not the answer, have to get this off season right, can’t miss next season. This long offseason will be beneficial start with a full healthy roster.

Oilers have been outplayed, out coached and out shined in every game this series. Could argue they didn’t deserve to win game 1. Blown leads and horrible defence is killing them. Need at minimum assistant coaching changes, defence and special teams coaching is atrocious.

Regardless of OT goal, Oilers blew another two goal lead. They are 1-3 when scoring first. The other 15 playoff teams are 19-8. Blown leads are killing them. They allowed two goals in the second period and have been outscored 9-4 in the middle stanza. Had a lead in the third and couldn't hold it. Can't hold leads, can't PK and getting thrashed in the second period.

I haven’t liked McDavid killing penalties all season, but especially now during the playoffs.

Can’t believe how bad the Oilers can be, awful shift, puck ends up in the net. Just can’t help themselves. Drai hasn’t been good, Walman has been awful, leaders haven’t done enough. No urgency. No life.

Oilers love letting the other team back in the game. Just can’t possibly play a full 60 minute game. Always have to take their foot off the gas.

Nuge has been absolute garbage on the PK, totally useless, both goals they’ve scored he’s been awful.

Love how Ducks fans are complaining about the Refs, when they get the calls and the Oilers don’t. Oilers get chopped down, goalie interferes with Savoie, holding, cross checking all uncalled.

I would appreciate it if the @sportsnet and @CBC sports “reporters” like Scott Oake and Ron McLean could stop talking about McDavid and these injuries they seem to want to conjure up, knock it off.

Sure hope the entire @EdmontonOilers team shows up tonight. No mistakes, play with intensity, play with pace, hard forecheck, defend the net well, block shots, don’t get caught up ice, back check, forwards don’t fly the zone, and shoot the damn puck.

My hunch is that Jarry will play tomorrow—Kris Knoblauch did not commit to a starter for Game 4, 7:50 puck drop on @Sportsnet. Dickinson game-time decision.

@nielsonTSN1260 I feel like they just fall back into their old playing style with him back, why can’t they just play the same with him there.

I'm by no means blaming him because he certainly isn't the issue and I'm only bringing this up because I can't really get my head wrapped around it but when Leon was out of the lineup this year the Oilers seemed to be SO MUCH BETTER DEFENSIVELY, I just don't get it.

These are the Oilers we've seen all season. They can play well but can't sustain it. Their mistakes are horrid. They can't stop the bleeding. They stubbornly stick to what they think should work, even when it doesn't. The Ducks are playing with passion and pace.
