When I was a kid, drumsticks were an expense, and so I would play with them until they started to fracture (or snap straight-up). Yet all these years later, I feel wasteful changing out worn (but unbroken) sticks, even though I have a box of like 50 pairs. A paradox, perhaps.

@M_Vigik @mrpyo1 Quality of products & quantity/exposure are two different things. Japan absolutely makes great products & produces excellent merch, but there’s still a much larger market presence for Mario & Zelda products overall in the US. However, all of this stuff is made in China regardless

@Millerpotamus @mrpyo1 "In the USA, you see a significantly larger market of Mario products & I’ve seen more Zelda merch here as well" I'm sorry but I have to digress because the amount of westerners always complaining that Japan has the best products over here is a lot.

I have a deeper understanding why Playstation is no longer big in Japan after looking in stores and talking to people: - Prices are not affordable anymore, especially when the yen is weaker - Sony gave up on Japan over the years, especially when they moved HQ from Tokyo to California (this was a huge slap on the face) - Playstation is not presence anywhere, it's hard to find Sony stuff in general while Nintendo you can't miss for example - Their first party output doesn't appeal to the Japanese gamer - No real handheld options as of now but will change with the PS6 gen - They don't go aggressive on 3rd party games anymore that appeal to japanese gamers like they did before Button line is Sony needs to have a handheld option with games that appeal to Japanese gamers at a affordable price. And have a bigger presence everywhere, marketing and appeal

@bruce_straley @shinobi602 Honestly, I think it looks amazing, especially remembering this time period. At the time, I returned the 1st assassins creed game to buy this. That was the right decision 😂

Whoa. Haven’t seen this in YEARS. Doesn’t hold up great, but I could fill a book with stories of trying to put this teaser together, let alone trying to ship the first game. Still proud of the effort & where it led us. The sequel was a breeze comparatively. 🫠
