@vaccaro3d The whole of the Madagascar chunk is the highlight of U4 to me, Anthony. You all really knocked it out of the park! That area gave a ton of player choice & the jeep felt great for exploring around. I could imagine a whole game with that jeep! 😙👌

Madagascar was one of my favorite levels to ever create. I learn a ton artistically but also from a design layout perspective. I was given the chance to art lead a lot of the layout spaces of the jeep and gave me a huge appreciation for design work youtube.com/watch?v=cwRcgb…

that time when @bruce_straley accidentally died during the gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4 at PSX 2014 ngl this moment was awesome! It showed the world that the demo was actually being played in real time. I miss live presentations like this

@TheSkinnyRage @realradec Neither I nor anyone on the team pressed the wrong button in the 100’s of practice runs before the show, so no one thought to prepare for this! I think I shaved a cpl years off my life with that one.

@bruce_straley Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was a strong basis at the time for what would end up becoming an iconic staple franchise, but Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is quite literally one of the greatest video games ever made. Totally changed my view of games as a kid. Forever in my Top 10. 💯

Whoa. Haven’t seen this in YEARS. Doesn’t hold up great, but I could fill a book with stories of trying to put this teaser together, let alone trying to ship the first game. Still proud of the effort & where it led us. The sequel was a breeze comparatively. 🫠

@Izcarielo @realradec Yes? The trick is to analyze why, and try to fix that. But it’s not always that simple. There are so many factors that influence production. Time, talent, experience, team size, money, complexity… It’s usually not as simple as “cut it & the game will be better.”

@bruce_straley @realradec A question ive always wanted to ask a dev: are you aware of which part of a game youre working on is clearly half assed/not the best it could be but you still just go with it? Like i get at some point the game needs to come out anyway

@bruce_straley @Brokowski25 The Last of Us MP was very unique and the Facebook integration was fun. I got into it to the point I bought a PS3 headset to communicate with my friends, which is very expensive where I live (Brazil). I still use it on my PC though lol.

@bruce_straley @shinobi602 Honestly, I think it looks amazing, especially remembering this time period. At the time, I returned the 1st assassins creed game to buy this. That was the right decision 😂

@bruce_straley @realradec I really liked the jetski levels tbh, it was a nice change of pace during the campaign! The game wouldn't be the same without the upstream jetski level imo 🙏
