Saudi Arabia is a continental-scale country, the birthplace of Islam, one of the world’s richest energy powers, and a state with global influence across the Arab and Muslim worlds. It can buy technology from the U.S., China, Europe, Japan, South Korea, or build its own. So what exactly does Israel add? Israel is not a strategic asset to Saudi Arabia. At best, it is a functional subcontractor in security and technology. A tool, not a civilizational center of gravity. The assumption that every Arab state must orbit Israel is a fantasy produced by Israeli self-importance, not geopolitical reality.

Trump said he is not sure the U.S. should sign a deal to end the war with Iran if Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries don't agree join the Abraham Accords. "They owe it to us", he said

Even the most ignorant geopolitical analyst knows Qatar has been playing both sides - hated by islamists for their hypocrisy but tolerated for their money, hated by reformists for their Islamism but tolerated due to geography. They pay the west to protect them and we can’t see them for what they are.
Trita Parsi@tparsi

So Qatar has, at the request of the US gov, helped mediate numerous conflicts for the US - from Venezuela, DCR, Gaza to Iran. So it should not be surprising that warmongers - who feed off of Americans dying in endless wars and are petrified of peace - view Qatar as the enemy.

@SenWarren drops truth bomb: AI used taxpayer-funded research, human brains & American land. Therefore, seize its gains! Funny, so did penicillin, the Model T, and the moon landing. If we ‘socialize’ every breakthrough built on roads, schools & public science, we’ll get the full communist package: zero incentive to invent anything ever again. Genius plan, comrade!
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

AI is trained on human creativity and intelligence, funded by federal research using taxpayer dollars, and powered by data centers built on American land. The success of AI should belong to all of us. It’s time to tax AI and invest in people.

Seriously, @MarioNawfal! I am surprised that you are surprised! You should know the region and its peculiarities by now. Oman has been playing the middle for a long time, and it has served them well, but unfortunately, the middle ground just gave out.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇺🇸 Trump just threatened to bomb Oman...WTH!! Asked if he'd accept a short-term deal that lets Iran and Oman control the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said: "Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we will have to blow them up."

Indian startups tend to be short on technology innovation. They generally focus on labor arbitrage. However, I wouldn't sell India short. Just the sheer population, the size of the consumer class, and the willingness of entrepreneurs to make money will eventually create a killer application using what is today considered the utilities of AI. My prediction is that the main return for AI is in the applications and not in the platform.

India is out of fresh ideas on artificial intelligence and can't come close to what firms in China, South Korea and Taiwan are offering investors, writes @andymukherjee70 (via @opinion) bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

The drama of delegitimizing Israel has lasted well over 75 years now, and most of the Islamic countries have gotten a wide degree of latitude in being able to get away with it. It is a real shame that no American administration before Trump has forced the issue. I think what Trump is doing now is going to be extremely beneficial for the region, and it is time for us to move on. Israel is here to stay.

@kevinolearytv Kevin you may be building data centers and getting into the new economy of content creation, but if you don’t know why Apple devices are worth 5x more than windows, then you better hire an advisor before you make a much more significant error with your investment. There are much bigger reasons to the gap than brand. Ask one of the people who work for you and is adept at tech.
Yonan@yonann

Kevin O'Leary says Apple's genius is making people pay 5x more for a laptop they could buy for $350 "you can buy an Apple laptop, average price about $1,800, or you can buy the same functionality for $350 on a Windows laptop" "but you still pay $1,800. Why? Brand" "you're paying a 5x multiple in some cases for something that is exactly like a Windows machine" "I put that out to people, they say, yeah, but it's not an Apple. So there is the genius of Jobs"

@LindseyGrahamSC isn’t wrong in this case. Pakistan’s repeated betrayals of the US & allies: Harbored Osama bin Laden for years while taking billions in aid Gave safe haven + ISI support to Taliban & Haqqani Network killing US troops A.Q. Khan sold nuclear tech to Iran, NK & Libya Double game: took US money, armed militants attacking NATO in Afghanistan Just saying - classic “ally” in public, enemy in private.
Trita Parsi@tparsi

Lindsey Graham has attacked EVERY mediator that has tried to resolve the US-Iran conflict BECAUSE HE DOESN'T WANT THE CONFLICT RESOLVED! And why is Pakistan a problematic mediator? The first reason Graham cites is Pakistan's animosity toward Israel...

The delusion of grandeur jeopardizes India's standing in the international arena. Indians must comprehend their authentic position in the global arena to be genuinely impactful in geopolitics. Operating from a predetermined stance will yield unproductive results. The Indian consumer class is inconsequential to the United States due to the market's protectionist nature and the predominance of domestic consumption. The geopolitical significance has waned since the implementation of the Donroe doctrine. Marco is merely preserving an option value through his current visit.
Sanjeev Kapoor@sanjeev__kapoor

US has learned a lesson, it cannot isolate or pressurise India, (largest democracy, biggest market, rising power) & a counterweight in Indo Pacific to China. That’s why Marco Rubio is in Delhi , trying to mend fences & push on trade, energy, defence & Quad. Abraham Accords a realignment story which now Trump wants Turkey and Pakistan to join is a step in this direction. The pieces are moving. @AadiAchint @alpha_defense @KreatelyMedia @Dig_raw21

@LindseyGrahamSC On Iran, the Middle East, and the Abrahamic Accords, I actually agree with Lindsey Graham. It is a bit jarring as I say this sentence, because finding concurrence with Lindsey Graham is not something that I look forward to.

President Trump’s most recent proposal requiring expansion of the Abraham Accords as part of a negotiated settlement to the Iran conflict is simply brilliant and would result in the most significant change in the Middle East in thousands of years. With Saudi Arabia and others like Pakistan making peace with Israel, the region will know a level of stability never dreamed of before President Trump and will eventually lead to regional integration making the Middle East a powerhouse for economic opportunity and good instead of a powder keg. I expect our Arab allies to embrace this, as well as our friends in Israel, focusing on this task as failure is not an option - which would be a correct analysis. @realDonaldTrump/116635193825443617" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru
