VImag Labs blew my mind. They've built what they call a Virtual Magnet Synchronous Motor (VMSM). Traditional permanent magnet motors rely on rare earth magnets inside the rotor. These magnets are imported and expensive. Instead of using permanent magnets, VImag's rotor contains windings that are electronically excited and precisely controlled through software. As current is induced and managed in the rotor, it behaves like a "virtual magnet" allowing the rotating magnetic field from the stator to drive the motor just like a conventional permanent magnet synchronous motor. This means that the motor delivers the benefits of a permanent magnet design without actually needing rare earth magnets. Their current prototype is rated for 6 kW continuous power, with a peak output of 10 kW and 48 to 58 Nm of torque. The initial target market is EVs (everything from two wheelers, three wheelers, buses, and trucks). They may also use them in compressors and ceiling fans. The upsides are: 1. Lower cost. 2. Lower weight. 3. Smaller size. 4. Ability to control magnetic field. 5. Improved efficiency over PMSM. 6. Indigenous manufacturing and supply chain resilience. The company has been working on this tech since 2020.

It could also help reduce the EV industry's dependence on 🇨🇳 China's rare earth magnet supply chain. Bengaluru-based Vimag Labs has secured a patent for a rare earth-free electric motor platform that replaces permanent magnets with software-controlled magnetic fields. If successfully commercialised, the technology could reduce the EV industry's dependence on Chinese rare earth supplies.

Manipur conflict is heading toward different directions first particular tribe were opposing Assam rifles, then Indian army and now CRPF, why do they do not want Central forces ?? Because these central forces are not acting as their private militia, they are not the one allowing them to loot the armoury like they did from Manipur police , this is being led by politicians now and police representatives from their tribes . Central forces are the most neutral forces in Manipur unlike Manipur police which is broken now based on ethnic lines. These evil politicians are only widening the gap between two communities . Unless hatred between communities is removed no one in world can bring peace back to Manipur, this is law and order issue to be handled by police, but is Manipur police capable now after being divided on ethnic lines. Mr Bimol, The root of the problem is that the two communities have developed deep mistrust and hatred toward each other and here you are contributing more to it , This is an internal conflict, and the Indian Army is not there to resolve every dispute between civilians. The Indian Army operates under the Constitution and the elected government, it does not take orders from theatre artists or public commentators like you. You want Indian army to shoot other tribe, but when your own people protest in Imphal burning houses you will cry for human right violation and what not if army acts against your community. Before lecturing others, your community should also be willing to acknowledge and call out the wrongs committed within its own house . Meaningful dialogue begins with introspection, not selective outrage.

Punjab’s pain cannot be reduced to a fake Hindu vs Sikh narrative Rawat. The biggest victims of the dark days of terrorism in Punjab were Punjabis themselves . Sikhs, Hindus and brave police personnel who stood together against extremism. Facts matter: From 1981–1993, thousands of innocent civilians were murdered by terrorists. More than 60% of those killed by terrorists were Sikhs themselves — farmers, sarpanches, policemen, journalists and ordinary citizens who refused to bow before the gun. The 1984 anti-Sikh genocide was carried out under a Congress government. Innocent Sikhs were targeted by political mobs, and justice was delayed for decades. History also records that Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s rise was linked by many analysts to Congress-era political calculations in Punjab, while the Akali Dal had periods of political cooperation with the BJP. So stop dividing Punjab. Punjab was not saved by one community against another. Punjab was saved when Sikhs, Hindus and the security forces stood together against terrorism. A terrorist has no religion. A martyr has no caste. The lesson of Punjab is simple: When politicians play with fire, ordinary families burn. When the uniform stands firm, the nation survives. I would avoid claiming “negligible Hindu casualties” because Hindus were also specifically targeted in many attacks; the stronger factual argument is that the violence was not a Sikh-vs-Hindu conflict and that Sikh civilians were mainly among the largest victim groups.

On the debate sparked by ‘Satluj’, I see many people here asking “why Hindus have never managed to align themselves politically in Punjab?!”. As a Punjabi Hindu I feel this is because we have never managed to see Sikhs as separate from us. We have never really understood why we have been targeted and killed by Khalistanis. Disputes over state boundaries, river water sharing, language…were these kind of petty reasons enough to tear the blood bond that Punjabi Hindus and Sikhs shared for centuries and start a lame separatist movement?! Was it not obvious that the country’s only martial community was being weaponised against itself by vested interests?! Is it fair to blame all Hindus for the heinous crimes of 1984 for which only one political party was responsible?! Is it fair to bury the thousands of stories of violence and rape by Khalistanis before 1984?! To me, the widening rift between Hindus and Sikhs is a source of personal anguish. A Sikh brother once said to me, “Hindus and Sikhs are like a finger and its nail: They are inseparable.” Praying that all Punjabis can see past their anger, something which they are prone to, to find love and brotherhood again, which they are known for. 🙏🏽🤍

The reason why most Sikhs vote for Congress in spite of 1984 and detest BJP is pretty simple. BJP is seen as a Hindu political party which wants to implement Hindu Rashtra. To RSS/BJP Sikhism might be a 'panth' under Hinduism but for many Sikhs, Sikhism is a separate religion which was made by the Gurus after rejecting Hinduism and its practices. They consider all this bhaichara from RSS/BJP as surrepticious attempts to dilute the Sikh identity. While RSS and BJP never stop mentioning that Sikhs and Hindus are one people, to many in the Sikh community this is an attempt to bring Sikhism under the fold of Hinduism. That Sikhism is a separate religion is not a view held only by Khalistanis. In fact, you'll see the most ardent pro-India Sikhs also holding this view. An extension of this thought process are acts like asking Granthis not to sing those portions of Gurbani which have reference to Krishna or Ram or any form of Hindu gods and godesses. That's why Shiv Sena and RSS members are targeted in Punjab. And SGPC appointment holders consider Sikhism to be more close to Islam than Hinduism.
