The religious spirit is a cancer that attempts to do good but does great harm and limits great growth for babes in Christ who don't know the word of God and have not matured in the things of God. This spirit is found in leaders and laymen alike. It comes under the guise to help, but truly desires to manipulate and control. It, with all it's attempts, no matter how hard it tries, can not stop something or someone that God has touched and awakened. All it will do is get mad and angry as it watches God's will come to pass.
Religion is about following rules and checking all the boxes so you can be accepted.
Relationship with Christ says you are already one of His.
Religion seeks control.
Relationship sets you free to obey and worship God.
Religion says earn it.
God says, you already have Me.
Do not let anyone with a religious spirit discourage you in your relationship with Christ.
Know Him and He will direct you.
Those with a religious spirit are blind guides and a hypocrites.
You won't be learning much from them, although they will present themselves as an authority.
My heart breaks for everyone who has been discouraged in this way, and made to feel as if your faith is false because you don't fit into the religious folks' box.
If God is not asking you to do it, don't.
Learn to hear God for yourself and obey Him. No one can get you to heaven but Jesus. So work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
Here is what Jesus said to the people with the spirit of religion back in His day:
Matthew 23:23-24 ESV — “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!
Stand guard. Stand watch. Walk with Christ.
Toodles.

I was one of those people. The process humbles and refines you. Shows you how to wait and trust God. Shows you how to hear and discern His voice. The process strips you of pride.
The main thing about the process is that it is painful but God ensures He can trust you with His purposes and sanctions you to establish His will in The Earth according to His perfect plan.
God is in control and His purposes shall be established in His servants and people.

Many people want the promises of God without the process of God.

I don't do the baptist black preacher close.
It's cool for those that do it. I don't knock my brothers that do.
However...
Not my ministry.
But I will preach to you the word of the Lord under the anointing.
My goal is not to make you shout or to entertain you, but to get you saved.
And if you are saved I am trying to get God on your mind more often and get you walking closer to Him.
The word is for everybody.
Come hear what, "Thus says The Lord."
You can be entertained or have a good time at Top Golf, the bbq, or the function.
If you are to hear God's word through this vessel, trust that I have been prepared and consecrated and The Lord will keep your attention.
Generally, before you say Amen to me, the prophet in me will make you mad.
But I will help you and give you the solution, trust Jesus.

Matthew 13:24-30 ESV — He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field, but while his men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also. And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have weeds?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No, lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, “Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
