After trying for 25 years, one of my friend’s father got the lottery ticket to go to Augusta- for the Masters. He came home yesterday I soaked in everything he told me about his experience. Story to come. He said it exceeded his expectations Have any of you had a chance to go?

I feel like the Masters broadcast doesn’t fully capture Augusta’s difficulty. Most every shot these guys are hitting is off an uneven fairway lie. And they make it look easy. I wish they could set up more cameras level with the slope so we could see it better.

I’ve served my country as a Sailor and my community as a firefighter my entire adult life. Want to know what else I’ve done my entire adult life? Turned in Masters lottery ticket applications every single year since 1985. Never been picked and probably never will. But I’m super stoked all these social media influencers get their chance.

My wife got a $3,200 bonus today… hit our account this morning. Not life-changing, but enough to: - Clear a couple bills - Maybe take the kids out - Breathe a little An hour later our car broke down. Repair estimate: $900+ Parts replacement: $1,800–$2,200 So there goes the bonus. Funny how money shows up and life immediately claims it. I’ll be annoyed today 😞

It’s like you don’t even really get the weekend to recover because it’s all just kid stuff the moment you wake up Arguably the only personal time you have is when they nap (and you’re already dead tired by that time) or the hour after they go to bed but before you pass out Just trying to figure out if I’m doing something wrong

@Minch8 @it_unprofession 1 time while I was in branch banking we had a before week meeting. I got up from the meeting and my boss asked where I was going. I told him it's 9am. Somebody better open the doors and let the customers I. Yes the 7:30 am meeting got that far off the wheels

My company announced a "no-meeting Friday" policy. We celebrated by immediately scheduling a meeting to discuss how to honor no-meeting Fridays. Calendar invite: 90 minutes. Title: "No-Meeting Friday Alignment Sync." I'm not joking. During the call, someone suggested we create a Slack channel to coordinate the new focus time. We now have "no-meeting-friday-chat" channel. It's mostly people asking, "Quick 15 today?" Leadership said they trust us to use the time wisely. The first Friday, I used my "deep work" block to microwave leftover pasta and stare at the wall. My manager Slacked me: "Got a sec to hop on a quick Zoom?" I replied, "Per policy, I'm currently innovating silently." He sent a thumbs-up reaction. I think that's corporate for "I'll remember this during performance reviews."
