Some books speak of food in cuisines and ratings. Others use food to speak of time, relationships, and the quiet rituals that hold them together. #TableforFour: Delhi’s Dining Legacy belongs to the latter. Written by Sunil Kant Munjal, Nitan Kapoor, and Ajay Shriram, and dedicated to the memory of Deepak Nirula, the book reflects how enduring friendships are shaped — not by occasions, but by consistency: showing up, sharing meals, and allowing conversation to accumulate meaning over the years. Set against Delhi’s dining landscape, the narrative moves beyond restaurants and recipes. Meals become reference points, dishes turn into memory cues, and the shared table emerges as a place where time is marked gently. We were glad to share this book with Mr. Harsh Goenka, and hope it finds a place among the many conversations and reflections that continue to shape his reading shelf. @hvgoenka #HarshGoenka #SunilKantMunjal #NitanKapoor #AjayShriram #AjayArora #DelhiDiningLegacy #FoodStories #SharedTable #CulinaryCulture #India

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 & 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀, 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀. The water crisis affects everyone — but not equally. 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻: collecting water, managing households, and caring for the sick — often at the cost of their time, health, safety, and opportunities. Yet, they are still underrepresented in decisions that shape water systems. 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲. 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲. It is about creating spaces where conversations linger, memories form, and moments quietly become part of our personal histories. 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿: 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶’𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 reflects precisely this spirit. Written by 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗹 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗹, along with Nitan Kapoor and Ajay Shriram — and dedicated to the memory of 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗸 𝗡𝗶𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗮 — the book captures how friendships deepen over years of shared meals and unhurried conversations across Delhi’s iconic restaurants. Within its pages, the city’s dining establishments are not merely places to eat; they become markers of time, witnesses to evolving relationships, and part of the cultural rhythm of the city itself. It was therefore a pleasure to present the book to 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗷𝗶𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗢𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗶, Managing Director and CEO, EIH Limited. The gesture felt especially meaningful as 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗼, once an elegant Italian restaurant that graced The Oberoi, New Delhi, finds its place in the narrative of Delhi’s dining legacy. A fitting reminder that great restaurants do more than serve food — they become part of the moments that stay with us long after the meal. @OberoiHotels The Oberoi, New Delhi DCM Shriram LTD Nirula's Ajay Arora #TableForFour #OberoiHotels #TheOberoi #LuxuryHospitality #DelhiRestaurants #DiningCulture #FineDiningExperience #FoodStories #DiningMemories #ConversationsOverFood

With the Strait of Hormuz (the world’s most critical oil chokepoint) practically choked, there’s buzz around India's 50 to 74 days of oil reserves, a matter of national survival. ⛽ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 “𝟐𝟓 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬”, "𝟓𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬", "𝟕𝟒 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬" 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 You might hear different numbers flying around. Here’s how they actually add up: 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬(~𝟓𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬): India's Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL) are required to maintain their own inventory. Currently, this sits at roughly 25 days of crude oil and 25 days of refined products (petrol/diesel). This is the "50 days" often cited in industry circles. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬(~𝟗.𝟓 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬): The underground caverns used to store Emergency Oil. 𝐓𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫(~𝟕𝟒 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬): Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently confirmed that when you combine the SPRs, refinery stocks, and floating platforms, India has about 74 days of cover. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝(𝟗𝟎 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬): The International Energy Agency (IEA) recommends 90 days & India is aggressively building toward this. 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. From the iconic 2007 T20 World Cup triumph to 2026’s historic victory at Ahmedabad, the journey of 𝗚𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗵𝗶𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 has truly come full circle. 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟳, 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗵𝗶𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵-𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘁, helping India lift its first T20 World Cup. Nearly two decades later, he stands at the helm as Head Coach, 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to yet another global triumph. But what unfolded last night was not just a win — 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. • 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗷𝘂 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘀𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 lit up the final with a breathtaking 89 off 46 balls, the highest individual score in a T20 World Cup final, capping a remarkable tournament for him. • 𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 — smashing a rapid 54 off 25 balls and pulling off multiple spectacular catches in the field that kept New Zealand under pressure. • And then came 𝗝𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝗺𝗿𝗮𝗵’𝘀 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘂𝘀 — a masterclass spell of 4 overs for 4 wickets and just 15 runs, dismantling New Zealand’s chase with pinpoint yorkers and deceptive slower balls. India piled up a record 255/5 — the highest total ever in a T20 World Cup final — before bundling New Zealand out for 159 to seal a 96-run victory and their third T20 World Cup title. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟳 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Gautam Gambhir’s journey reflects the power of leadership, belief, and legacy. A historic night. A dominant performance. DID YOU KNOW? India’s first experiment with a government-in-exile didn’t begin in 1943. It began in 1915. During World War I, Indian revolutionaries set up the Provisional Government of India (1915-1919) in Kabul, led by Raja Mahendra Pratap. The objective was strategic and clear: To internationalise India’s freedom struggle and challenge British authority from outside colonial control. Nearly three decades later, in 1943, Subhas Chandra Bose would proclaim the Azad Hind Government in front of a jampacked crowd at Cathay Cinema Hall in Singapore, giving the idea mass visibility and a permanent place in public memory. Both moments matter — not as rivals, but as chapters of the same global struggle. Some histories become famous. Others quietly shape what follows. #Netaji #SubhasChandraBose #Singapore #CathayCinema #AzadHindFauj #AzadHindGovernment

Did You Know? A typical data center can use 300,000 gallons of water every single day — roughly equal to the daily needs of 1,000 households. Large-scale facilities? They can consume up to 5 million gallons per day — comparable to the water demand of an entire town. And with AI accelerating global data demand, water used for cooling these data centers could rise by up to 870% in the coming years. Water isn’t just a utility for data centers. It’s a core input — essential for cooling servers and keeping the digital world running. As AI scales, the real question becomes: Can digital growth and water sustainability grow together? #DidYouKnow #DataCenters #AIInfrastructure #WaterConservation #Sustainability #DigitalEconomy #ClimateRisk #ESG #AIRevolution #GreenTech #ResourceManagement #FutureOfTech #WaterCrisis #Infrastructure

Who Really Powers India’s Imports? India’s import story is more concentrated than it appears. In 2024–25, just five countries account for 43.8% of India’s total imports ($721.2 billion). China leads (15.73%) — reflecting dependence on global manufacturing supply chains. Russia & Saudi Arabia underline India’s energy security needs. UAE acts as a critical trade hub. USA supplies high-value and specialized goods. This isn’t just about trade volumes. It’s about supply resilience, inflation risk, currency stability, and policy flexibility. When imports are concentrated: • Price shocks widen trade deficits • Geopolitics disrupt supply chains • Energy costs feed directly into inflation Over time, these trends shape strategic decisions on diversification, boosting domestic manufacturing, trade agreements, and investment priorities. The real question isn’t who we import from — it’s how resilient those dependencies are. Did You Know? At just 16 years, 6 months, and 27 days, Vishwanath Karthikey Padakanti became the youngest Indian — and second youngest in the world — to complete the Seven Summits Challenge. Yes. The Seven Summits. That means climbing the highest peak on every continent: Mount Everest (Asia) Mount Elbrus (Europe) Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa) Mount Aconcagua (South America) Mount Denali (North America) Vinson Massif (Antarctica) Mount Kosciuszko (Australia) From the icy wilderness of Antarctica to the thin air of the Himalayas, Vishwanath conquered all the summits spread across 7 continents. He began this journey in August 2022 and completed it on May 27, 2025, summiting Mount Everest — the ultimate peak — before turning 17. For this extraordinary feat, he was awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025. What makes this even more inspiring? Extreme weather. Minimal food. Surviving on chocolates at times. Relentless training. Unshakable discipline. Sometimes, the biggest summits aren’t mountains. They’re our belief system. #DidYouKnow #SevenSummits #IndianYouth #Inspiration #MountEverest #Leadership #Grit #IndiaRising

When T20 Was Just a Joke… Before It Became Cricket’s Global Phenomenon Today, T20 is the format powering cricket’s global expansion — from its Asian Games debut in 2010 to featuring in the upcoming Los Angeles 2028 Olympics. But when the first-ever men’s T20 International was played on 17 February 2005 between Australia and New Zealand at Eden Park (Auckland), it wasn’t treated like history in the making. It felt more like a carnival. Players wore retro 1980s jerseys Some sported fake moustaches Hamish Marshall walked in with a full afro look Umpire Billy Bowden theatrically flashed a “red card” Glenn McGrath even recreated the infamous 1981 underarm bowling incident And yet — behind the theatrics — history was being written. Australia posted 214/5. Ricky Ponting smashed 98 off 55 balls*, becoming the first Player of the Match in men’s T20Is. Michael Kasprowicz took 4/29. Over 30,000 fans watched what many thought was just an exhibition match. No one knew this “casual experiment” would reshape cricket forever. T20 went from novelty to necessity. From light-hearted entertainment to a format driving billions in revenue, new leagues, and global participation. It wasn’t just a match. It was the start of a new dawn for the game of cricket. #T20WorldCup #T20WorldCup2026 #t20wc2026 #T20

Gen Z Is Rewriting India’s Consumption Story. In our earlier posts on Gen Z, we established two things: • Gen Z already drives 43% of discretionary spending • By 2035, they will command $1.8 trillion in direct spends Now let’s look at where that power is showing up. The Category Takeover Is Already Underway: Gen Z accounts for: • 50% of footwear spend • 48% of dining • 48% of out-of-home entertainment • 47% of fashion & lifestyle This is not future potential. This is present dominance. And beyond direct spending, their influence extends across: Travel Packaged food & beverages Consumer tech Beauty & personal care Video OTT Nearly half of spending in several top categories is now Gen Z-driven. What’s Driving This Shift? • Digital-first behaviour • Higher research intensity (1.5x more likely to research before purchase) • Brand-conscious but value-aware mindset • Demand for authenticity, regional relevance, and convenience They don’t just consume products. They shape what gets produced. The Strategic Implication Brands that still see Gen Z as a “youth segment” are misreading the market. This is not a demographic trend. It’s a structural shift in economic control. The real question is no longer: “How do we market to Gen Z?” It is: “Is our product, pricing, and distribution model designed for a generation that already controls nearly half the cart?”

Gen Z Is Moving From Influencing the Cart to Owning the Wallet In our last post, we spoke about how Gen Z already drives 43% of India’s discretionary spend. Here’s what’s bigger. In 2024, out of $860 billion in Gen Z spending power: $200Bn is direct spends (from their own earnings) $660Bn is influenced spends (their recommendations driving family/friends spending) They influence more than they spend from their own wallets. But that’s about to flip. And by 2035: $1.8 Trillion is expected in direct spends Every second rupee of consumer spend driven by Gen Zers This isn’t just growth. It’s a transfer of economic control. Today, they shape others’ decisions. Tomorrow, they will fund them from their own pockets. The brands that win won’t just market to Gen Z. They’ll build for a generation that controls $1.8 trillion in buying power. So are brands designing for influence — or income? #GenZ #ConsumerShift #IndiaGrowthStory #YouthEconomy #RetailRevolution #FutureOfConsumption #MindmineInstitute #HeroEnterpris #GenZ #ConsumerShift #IndiaGrowthStory #YouthEconomy #RetailRevolution #FutureOfConsumption #MindmineInstitute #HeroEnterpris #manufacturing
