@croooozin I don't understand why they didn't make a new Arale anime while Toriyama was still alive, he clearly wanted to keep making more silly slapstick but they keep adding that kind of humor into Dragon Ball

While I’m on this topic of Toriyama’s modern style, I want to mention how beautiful the Dr. Slump short film from 2007 is, mainly because the staff perfectly adapted Toriyama’s modern art style into animation, which was incredibly cool to see.

It’s been roughly 2 years since the passing of Toriyama (March 1, 2024), and I’ve been thinking a lot about his art again, especially the illustrations he did for the kanzenban editions of Dr. Slump, which deserve more love imo. The characters look so good in his modern style
