If you want to go fast go alone. If you want to go far go together. People matter. Relationships are the essence of life! And, you can’t achieve anything great on your own. Letting people know how much they matter and how much you care about them is so important. Success isn’t a solo act; it’s a choir of voices, each unique, each essential. It’s about lifting each other up, appreciating their presence, and letting them know they’re valued. Don’t be afraid to tell people how much they mean to you, we forget to do that sometimes. Who can you tell today how thankful you are for the blessing they are in your life? Don’t wait…tell them!

Today we celebrate the life of my beautiful wife Amy (Inge) Cosgrove who passed away unexpectantly on June 11, 2024.   Amy was a loving daughter, sister, niece, friend, wife and mother.  While her time here on earth was short, she accomplished much in her 42 years and touched many lives.   Amy was born on August 9 and grew up in Orting, Washington, the beloved daughter of David and Mary Inge.  She had one sibling in her older brother David Jr. who was her best friend from childhood and remained so throughout their lives.   Amy graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a BA in Media/Culture and started her career as an Assignment desk reporter for KIRO News Seattle where she did on-air reporting both training and mentoring under some of the finest talent in the Pacific Northwest.  From there, Amy became a manager at Nordstrom.  During her 4-year career there she launched two additional store locations and received the esteemed “Customer Service Award” out of 300 reps while also receiving the “Pace-setter” award given to one high achiever each year.  Amy continued in management roles for the next 5 years at Microsoft, GMR Marketing, Paradigm Direct Payments and Enterprise Car Share.   Her career role that she is best known for is being a National Product Specialist for Toyota North America.  She presented the latest Toyota vehicles during the automotive shows, but the role she most enjoyed was interviewing Toyota racing talents at NASCAR and NHRA races including Joe Gibbs, Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and others.   In 2012, she married Clint Cosgrove in Maui, Hawaii, and together they traveled the world.  Often venturing to places on the map that were considered the forefront of travel at that time.  It was their favorite thing in the world to do and it was a passion they both shared deeply.   Amy loved music, to dance, and to sing.  She was easy to love and had a way of making people laugh with her funny stories, and sayings…as we called them “Amyisms” Amy will be remembered for many things, but most of all for her greatest gift to the world, her son Carsten Conway.  She enjoyed teaching Carsten to swim and attended swim lessons with him weekly, beaming with pride over his lack of fear and love for the water.  Amy passed her love of music on to Carsten by enrolling him in a music class called Wiggleworms at the Old Town school of Music.  He started attending class at 3 months of age and participated in weekly classes with mom which involved instruments, song and movement.  It is music that will bind them together for life.   Please Join us by taking time to dance to your favorite music in her honor!  If you would like to make a donation in Amy’s memory, please go to: oldtownschool.org/support/donate/    Click the dollar amount and then state In memory of Amy Cosgrove.  All Donations in Amy’s name will provide scholarship funds for children to attend classes at the Old town School of Music.   “Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies.” Edward Bulwer-Lytton

Today should have been our 12th anniversary. You had so much life left to live & it pains me that Carsten will never experience how amazing his mom was. I pray you will carry us on days I don’t have the strength to do it alone. ❤️ you, Amy Amy Cosgrove August 1981-June 2024
