Compulsory redundancies are cruel and unnecessary. Cardiff Met UCU have requested that Cardiff Met re-open their voluntary severance programme, or if necessary a VOLUNTARY redundancy programme across the whole university. @ucu @DrJoGrady @AddysgEducation @JoStevensLabour

Compulsory redundancy is a choice, not a necessity.

Cardiff Met UCU maintains its position of no compulsory redundancies. Colleagues are struggling to respond to consultation on proposed compulsory redundancies because many key people are on annual leave. We request a pause in the process.

Today Cardiff Met UCU have requested a pause to the proposed redundancy consultation period on the basis that we cannot meaningfully consult when over half of our members and union officers are on leave. @ucu @unisontheunion @UCUCymru @AddysgEducation @JoStevensLabour

@aledelwyn @tfwrail @brynsbarn Our coach driver has advised Shrewsbury as well. I’m not an expert but a few of us on tbe coach are using the apps, as you are.

@tfwrail @aledelwyn @brynsbarn Not much help if you’re going to Holyhead. We are being advised to take coach to Shrewsbury, there will be more options there. Maybe Crewe to Chester and pick up there. I am sorry TfW are unable to advise you.

@aledelwyn @MinnieKeats @brynsbarn Hi That train is stuck behind the Cwmbran one. We have ticket acceptance in place at Hereford with West Midlands between hereford and Birmingham. So the staff there will be best placed to advise onward travel ^Jane

@aledelwyn @tfwrail @brynsbarn I am on the first bus. We have been told to go to Shrewsbury but it is also stopping at Hereford. I just saw two buses on way to Cwmbran- I hope!
