My girlfriend is quite traditional. So to do the right thing by her, I asked her father for "permission" to marry her. Nobody specified that the father had to say yes, which he didn't. Now married to her as of yesterday anyway regardless of her grumpweed of a father.

There’s something wrong with paramedics in Auckland. Not the job they do, but rather the numbers of staff. Dad had to wait 3.5 hours for 2 apologetic young men to transfer him to hospital with suspected broken hip and he’s about to undergo chemo for lymphoma. Today’s is 75th bday

I’m sick of self-centred people saying that if it doesn’t occur in their small world then it didn’t happen. Yesterday it was bad weather (it’s fine here, what’s the problem), other days it’s bike paths (I don’t see anyone use it so obviously doesn’t happen).

Given that both Chris Hipkins and Christopher Luxon have kids, I hope they get asked how they would balance the demands of Prime Ministership with fatherhood ☺️
