This is what my heart needed.
My dad took two of my close friends and I to see Yo-Yo Ma perform in Denver for my 16th birthday.
My son often asks me to practice my cello while he’s falling asleep.
The gift of music is so precious, especially while we’re socially isolated.

@aishuarjun @AForman_CGC Will would drive me nuts!! He’s so anxious and information seeking. Abby would be too matter of fact. See everything from a distance. And would not feel empathic enough to my own anxieties.
CJ could teach me where she shops for clothes. I’ve always wanted to dress like her!

@MiraHallquist AND if hospitals and clinics are over taxed by hundreds of thousands getting sick at the same time, how many more people will get sicker or die from other causes?
Also, I keep hearing "It's just viral pneumonia!" Did I miss the memo that pneumonia is NBD?

This is what I want to be hearing every time we talk about those at risk. My sister has #cysticfibrosis. My mom has stage III chronic kidney disease and had a heart attack last fall.
If you aren’t in a high risk category? Odds are, someone you know or love is.
Protect them.

Make no mistake: this is a dangerous disease. While most who contract it become only mildly ill, it is extremely deadly for the elderly and people with chronic health problems. You may be one of those people, or you may love one of those people - all of us have a stake in this.

Why would our children go hungry if we close schools?
Why can’t people afford to see a doctor if they are sick?

At some point, we have to talk about the fact that, in what is consistently touted as a thriving economy, the key concern w/closing schools b/c of COVID-19 is “children who rely on school food won’t get to eat.” If the economy Is so great, why aren’t the babies eating?
