A few weeks ago my Geometry kids made patterns for gingerbread houses using only a compass, pencil, and paper. Yesterday their patterns were used to cut out their houses with cookie dough, and today they assembled them. I love their creativity.

Today my Geometry kids finished their Polygon Ozobot activity and got to test out their coding. I previously only had 3 of my own Ozobots, so having two extra gifted by @DonorsChoose helped all of the kids more easily share❤️. (get activity @ bit.ly/ozogon).

I am so excited that my two Ozobots that were funded by @DonorsChoose were delivered at school today. I can’t wait for my Geometry students to use them!

My Geometry students used Opacity and drawing tools in #Keynote to create segments on their Silouhettes, then they found the distance and midpoint of their segments. They completed the rest of the project in #Classkick. Copy of (iPad) Keynote directions: docs.google.com/document/d/1un…

I watched many videos on Embedding a Bitmoji Classroom into Schoology, and I wanted to share a video I made combining some of those methods. You can make any kind of header (w/ working links) with this technique, and it doesn't have to be "Bitmoji" style. youtu.be/F8Wvm4u7zng

It's day 2 of #Geometry and my kids created models to show that it takes 3 (non collinear) points to define a plane. I'm not sure it was a true #makerspace, but they were so creative with how they chose to build their structures to support their "points", and it was so much fun!

@ManningTechTalk Remember this happening in the Kami fb group 🤣? I haven't been active with tech groups since I have been feeling the covid burnout, but I remember we have crossed paths before in some tech groups a while back 🙂. I guess I have been doing more cookie baking than tech making ❤🍪

So I start thinking about baking cookies for my Ts & as I’m scrolling down I see someone thanking me for cookies. Then I realize it’s not me, just someone with almost my same name. It's been about 10 years since my Geometry kids got to create a Geometric Gingerbread house. My kids made patterns to cut out cookie dough using only a compass and straightedge (no ruler measuring except an initial 6 in line segment), and today they got to assemble their houses.

Finally after years of workarounds, I can finally layer my equations and images in Google Docs with the "In front of text" wrapping. This makes it so easy create and edit math content directly inside Google Docs. I am on cloud nine.

@kimberly_abdul I just realized you were asking about the angle gif. That is just me moving an angle by hand (trackpad) in GeoGebra while screen recording with Screencastify. Low-ish tech, but effective enough to get the point across.

@kimberly_abdul Easy! They are just stop motion, nothing fancy. I was trying to look up how to do math animations with MATLAB, GeoGebra, and Desmos, but I did not feel like learning another career in programming, haha. I am too old for that!
