To work out 3 day part time wage would I just divide my take home by 5 and multiply by 3 to get a good estimate? Or does it change much from that? :)

@MissJN12 Aw yess I did something similar today but will try that one next Friday! Thanks! But I think mon-thurs I literally have 1 min to recap and they wouldn’t have even drawn their grid by then 😂😂

@MissABCNQT I played a fab game of bingo with my class - I put 10 sounds on the screen and then children chose 5 to write down. I then called out different words with the sounds in, if they had it they crossed it off. Kids loved it, we ended up playing 5 games!

I’ve not stopped mad laughing all day because Priti Patel said the reason we have the highest death rate is partly because ‘we have some ethnicities that are more susceptible’. Like there aren’t whole Black countries with whole Black populations just existing covid free.😭

Are we sending in govt inspectors to scrutinise the work of nurses, GPs, surgeons, scientists, firefighters, MPs, police officers etc at the moment? Or are we accepting that they have enough on their plate dealing with a pandemic and need to be left to get on with it?

@MissBlank1995 The first group do 9-10 and the second 10-11. It’s for phonics, English and maths inputs and they then complete the work with adults at home as well as topic work. We also get some saying it’s too much and others not enough so you’re not the only one :)

So tonight I cried for the first time In a very long time about work. I received an email at 10pm from a parent complaining about how “live” we are during the day and that it’s not enough. I teach year 1 and currently provided pre recorded maths or English, with the opposite....

@MissBlank1995 That’s incredible! You are doing so so much please don’t worry! We do 2 hours live a day, but each child only accesses an hour - so five hours live a week and the rest prerecorded or oak etc. Sounds like you’re doing a great job!

What is everyone else in year 1 doing because I already feel so overwhelmed and to think I’m not doing enough breaks my heart. 😢
