@OfficialFV My formal complaint from 5th Feb hasn’t been addressed yet, any idea how much longer I’ll have to wait?

@LivvHousing Please can you stop ignoring the emails multiple people are sending you and fix this road that belongs to you? It’s an accident waiting to happen now

Our Deputy CEO Kirsten Howells was on BBC Breakfast this morning, talking about the barriers people who stammer face when engaging with customer-facing organisations (think: cafes, banks, helplines), and how simple it is to enact small yet important changes to their processes. 🧵

@TonyMillett1 I finished your book & loved it Tony, thank you for sharing your story 🫶🏻 (Bit late getting back to you as my final year of uni has not made it easy to read!)

Today is #InternationalStammeringAwarenessDay. Things you should NOT DO… Never apologise for stammering. Never think it’s a burden on you. Never hide from it. Your stammer is unique like you and that’s beautiful #OWNIT

So brilliant to listen to @DrRosena talking about her experiences of stammering, and the importance of valuing stammered speech. Stammering is how some of us talk. And it doesn't make us any less worth listening to! #ItsHowWeTalk
Dr Rosena@DrRosena

Until today, I’ve never spoken publicly about growing up with a stammer and the challenges it brought. Having a stammer is often dogged by stigma. I want to break down barriers for people with speech difficulties, which is why it was great to share my experience on @loosewomen.

Today I turn 27 YEARS OLD. Which means 11 YEARS AGO I was on Educating Yorkshire. I am so fortunate to live life sharing the power of teachers. I am proud to be someone who stammers, something one teacher helped me to accept in the classroom. Thank you to everyone for the continuous support #EducatingYorlshire #PowerOfTeaching #ThankYou

Let's switch the word 'suffers' to 'embraces'! ⚽️ We should encourage the change of negative language when talking about stammering, just like we did when we worked with @Wikipedia #ItsHowWeTalk

Watford’s Ken Sema suffers with a stutter, but he bravely came out and did the post-match interview last night... ❤️ This will really help a lot of people. Anyone who suffers with a stammer knows how hard and deflating it can be. Brilliant @Semaken! 👏
