England & GB flags being put up by the community on external school gates… anyone else experienced this?

The disconnect between education & socialcare is WILD. I’ve seen great practice but recently horrendous communication/reluctance to escalate despite growing concerns from school. ‘At least you’ve tried’ does NOT wash with me 😡 #safeguarding #Teaching #TEACHers #Teachersof𝕏

If you’re sat with overwhelming Sunday night fear. Stressed & emotionally exhausted I see you. You can do this. Deep breath. If you want out, there’s a way. If you don’t, know your worth & believe in yourself! You ARE enough & you ARE a good teacher! #teachersofx #Teachersof𝕏

No one in education uses Twitter/X any more. Am I right? Feels like posts fall on deaf ears and the old primary buzz is a distant memory. If you’re still here, say hi.

@mrsc_m_harris Learn about the area you’re working in. What are your families (and pupils) facing? What are the strengths/challenges of the local community and how can your pastoral support navigate that and help strengthen your pupil/family relationships. You’ve got this! 💪

Nervous to start my first teaching job tomorrow. Classroom is sorted ☑️ Done some travelling over the summer ☑️ Read over 70 books since July ☑️ But imposter syndrome is kicking my butt! Any tips for ECT 1 #edutwitter ?

If you’re struggling with going back/doomscrolling through the ‘look at my amazing classroom’ ‘I’m super organised’ or ‘here’s how to…’ posts. Remember you don’t have to be perfect. Insta content isn’t what makes a good teacher- your best is more than good enough! #Teachersof𝕏

INSET Days: Personally, I don’t need inspirational speakers, team building exercises or 2 hours to go through a handbook. I want: -Effective CPD -Opportunities to meet with teams/staff -TIME (to plan & prepare) What’s your dream INSET Day? #education #Teachersof𝕏 #teaching

The propaganda around #schoollockdowns is horrendous & pedalling the idea that educators are complicit in ‘grooming’ or ‘brainwashing’ chn to scare/control them is vile. If you’ve got questions about policies ask- don’t believe the wannabe influencers on TikTok 👀 #education

@RogersHistory It’s tough- phone calls can have great results & build positive relationships but teachers may not feel able/skilled to do so. Plus if the issue has triggered, stressed or upset them they’re being expected to relive that potential trauma or emotion by bringing it up again!

"Have you phoned home?" I'll be honest, when reporting some behaviour issues that had stressed me the hell out after a full day of teaching, this response used to annoy the hell out of me. I didn't have the time or energy to call 5-10 parents for one hour after school. I needed to plan lessons for the next day and the next day. The person asking the questions always seemed to have more time and be more chilled than me.
