Year 2 sorting artefacts past and present to help answer our enquiry question: ‘why do we celebrate things now to help us remember our history?’ @GarswoodPrimary
In Science Y2 have been learning about habitats. We have explored a local habitat to find things that are ‘living’, ‘dead’ and ‘never been alive’. @GarswoodPrimary@MissJenkinson
A wonderful first morning in y2. The children have been so enthusiastic and have enjoyed taking on new roles and responsibilities @MissJenkinson@GarswoodPrimary
A very informative/hands on session delivered by a representative from the Jewish community. Y2 learnt about: synagogues, kippots, prayer shawls & how to read the Torah. Some even blew the Shofar! We loved sharing the Challah bread - delicious! @GarswoodPrimary#Judaism#RE
Love it when children bring in texts they have been inspired to read due to what they’ve been learning from our @GarswoodPrimary curriculum. On child even gifted his ‘Nelson Mandela’ book to our y2 reading library for others to enjoy as it was his birthday-how kind and thoughtful
Congratulations to the children who represented @GarswoodPrimary at @DPoetryBuzz Poetry Buzz festival. Some of our children even managed to get their poetry published in one of our favourite poet’s book! 📕
Very proud of @GarswoodPrimary achieving the prestigious ‘Environmental Art Activism Award’ for an outstanding contribution to culture and helping @sthelenscouncil be better, healthier and more sustainable. #environmental#arts
