Year 1 have a new reading corner! ❤️ We have gone for neutrals and the children have been loving our new AMAZING books. We also have a tuff spot especially for phonics. This week the children have been practicing their reading by making silly soup with the words 📔📕📗🌳

Year 1 have had a fabulous morning celebrating #worldmathsday ! We have been measuring objects in the classroom, using scales to measure mass, challenging each other on TT rocks and having a dance off! #TTrocks #maths

Last week year 1 loved their maths based Easter hunt! The children had to find a hidden egg and answer the maths question in the egg in order to get a chocolate treat 🍫🪺

Year 1 finished their topic on ‘Weather in the UK’ by becoming weather reporters! It’s not looking good in Wales on this map ⚡️⛈️

Oh I Do like to be beside the seaside! 🏖️ Year 1 had a fabulous morning learning all about the Edwardian seaside. We jumped into bathing machines and put on our extraordinary swimming costumes, and we also strolled along the promenade with our parasols! Thank you to @PartakeEdu

In Year 1 we have been busy creating some beautiful cards for the church and inside, the children have written thank you messages for the church. 🔥⛪️💕 We have been learning all about Pentecost and the birth of the church.

Year 1 have been writing post cards to year 5 all about their beach experience day. The boys and girls in Year 1 were so happy when they received a post card back! ☀️🏖️

Year 1 did such an amazing job at Sports Day today! We did a sprint race, an obstacle race, javelin, long jump and even a parent’s race! Well done to all that took part- including parents!!! 🤪🏅🏆
