Dua of Adam (AS) رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana wa-tarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasirin. Dua of Ayyub (AS) رَبِّ إِنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ Rabbi inni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin. Meaning: “My Lord, indeed hardship has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” Surah Al-Anbiya: 83 4. Dua of Shu‘ayb (AS) رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْفَاتِحِينَ Rabbana iftah baynana wa bayna qawmina bil-haqqi wa anta khayrul-fatihin. Meaning: “Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, and You are the best of those who give judgment.” Surah Al-A‘raf: 89 5. Dua of Musa (AS) رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir. Meaning: “My Lord, indeed I am in desperate need of whatever good You send down to me.” Surah Al-Qasas: 24 6. Dua of Zakariya (AS) رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِي فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْوَارِثِينَ Rabbi la tadhar-ni fardan wa anta khayrul-warithin. Meaning: “My Lord, do not leave me alone [without offspring], though You are the best of inheritors.” Surah Al-Anbiya: 89 7. Dua of Ya‘qub (AS) إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللَّهِ Innama ashku baththi wa huzni ila Allah. Meaning: “I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah.” Surah Yusuf: 86 8. Dua of Yunus (AS) لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimin. Meaning: “There is no deity except You; glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.” Surah Al-Anbiya: 87 9. Dua of Yusuf (AS) أَنتَ وَلِتِي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ Anta waliyyi fid-dunya wal-akhirati tawaffani musliman wa alhiqni bis-salihin. Meaning: “You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim and join me with the righteous.” Surah Yusuf: 101 10. Dua of Ibrahim (AS) رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ Rabbi ij‘alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati, rabbana wa taqabbal du‘a’. Meaning: “My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants as well. Our Lord, accept my supplication.” Surah Ibrahim: 40 11. Dua of Isa (AS) رَبَّنَا أُنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَا بِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيدًا لِأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِنكَ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ Rabbana anzil ‘alayna ma’idatan mina-s-sama’i takunu lana ‘idan li-awwalina wa akhirina wa ayatan minka warzuqna wa anta khayrur-raziqin. Meaning: “O Allah, our Lord, send down to us a table spread with food from the heaven to be for us a festival for the first of us and the last of us and a sign from You. And provide for us, for You are the best of providers.” Surah Al-Ma’idah: 114 12. Dua of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban-nar.
