This has been a real labour of love, I've really enjoyed creating this booklet! Short stories on @AccReader! Here is the dropbox link: dropbox.com/sh/z4fskx52ptk… All the covers correlate with the AR quiz, the ZPD & points are all mentioned and there are reading reflection questions!

RESOURCE ALERT! Retrieval practice really is the best way to cement that knowledge of key quotations in the run-up to Year 11s GCSE literature exams; hopefully others find these useful. Inspired by @MissSwarbrick , thanks for the format! @LitdriveUK dropbox.com/scl/fi/4qidyn9…

Put together some revision resources for Yr11. A countdown calendar from Easter until the exam with suggested tasks, a colour coded revision table and some double sided A6 cue cards for key quotes. Procrastination at its best! Let me know if you fancy them

@MissSFEnglish I always like to use sentence stems, the author was attempting to challenge/criticise/celebrate/reveal the importance of and most the P&C poems are political e.g WP expose the hypocrisy and ignorance of Western civilisation and reveal the horrific collateral damage of war

I’m having a crisis about P+C poetry. I get the analysis, I get the comparison, I get the context.. what I am struggling with now is the intention. What is the intention behind each poem? And then weaving this in. Does anyone have any CPD/resources to help?🙏🏻

So so proud of my year 11 class, they’re the first class I’ve taken through to exams due to covid and I couldn’t be more proud of them - throughout the two years I’ve had them they’ve worked their socks off and their hard work has paid off 💕

This day in 1954, Alan Turing took his life by his own hand, driven to death by society’s inability to accept a different form of sexuality. He invented the modern computer. Whatever device you are reading this on, came from his genius. #PrideMonth

Over the moon for the Blood Brothers question on childhood experiences! As a class we planned for a childhood question yesterday so I just know they all went into it feeling prepared 📝

Putting my Lit Paper 1 predictions out there into the universe… For P&C I’m thinking Power of Nature with Storm on the Island or identity/memory with My Last Duchess For Blood Brothers it may be childhood/growing up or Sammy & Violence 😖😖 What does everyone else think?!

@MikeSegalov Hello, I run a Pride group for students in my school. It’s a lovely environment, this week 4 of them have helped present assemblies for how to be an ally and we do things like make a newsletter for the school etc

When you ask people to name a book that changed their lives, they almost always name a children's book. And they always remember, with the intensity of a religious experience, the feeling they had when they were reading it. Those books go so deep, they become part of us forever.
