With regular criticism about teachers, this story emulates the teachers I regularly experience. Those who love each and every student that walks into their classroom, and those who know their students likes and dislikes. A wonderful article 💕#acuedu_p mamamia.com.au/prince-harry-d…

Gabbie Stroud discusses how after years of teaching, she left the profession not because of being 'burnt out' but because of the de-moralising effect of standardised testing on teachers. Very interesting! #acuedu_p facebook.com/ABCiview/video…

Kindness should be encouraged more than once a year. By implementing a Kindness Wall throughout the year will promote a positive classroom community and support students generosity and kindness in their every day lives. #acuedu_p

I love this idea of monthly homework activities that actively involve the parents and students. It's even better since they're moving away from the traditional pen and paper or question and answer worksheets! Homework should be fun and different every day #acuedu_p

Using @ClassDojo Portfolios to turn in HW has been amazing. Combined with a monthly QR code laden calendar for skills practice and increased parent accountability has made HW enjoyable for all. See how it's used here: goo.gl/FxVQFj

I stumbled across this post one day and it clearly depicted how an apology doesn't resolve or fix a situation that caused pain or harm. I will definitely use this concept to teach students the power of their actions and words. #acuedu_p #lifelessons

Remind yourself that students aren't purposely waking up to make your day hard or to get in trouble. Build positive relationships to better understand your student and what is causing their behaviour. #acuedu_p

Actions speak louder than words. If you believe in your students and their capabilities then design lessons and implement teaching practices that mirror those beliefs! #acuedu_p

An interesting read... A different type of strategy to positively promote students perceptions of learning and personal expectations of success. What do you think about this? Would you implement it in the classroom? #acuedu_p

Teaching students about neuroplasticity and the brain’s potential can have a positive effect on their self-perceptions and expectations for success in school. How to build a metacognitive classroom in elementary and secondary grades: edut.to/2PUAJq7

Play is crucial in cognitive, emotional, social and physical development. It encourages creative thinking, problem-solving and developing an understanding of the world around them. Early childhood play should not be diminished because of the improvement in technology #acuedu_p

I love that BTN explains current issues in a manner that is suitable for children to understand what is happening around the world. Amazing resource! #acuedu_p

Students need to be provided with the tools that will support them in becoming active and engaged global citizens. They are the future and can make a positive social change in the world. What do you think of this idea? #acuedu_p ideas.ted.com/activism-isnt-…
