Jo will be working with us in a variety of ways in her role as ELE next year including writing blogs, delivering twilight sessions, programmes and supporting partnerships with schools to secure long term improvements. @Miss_JL4

Jo enjoys working with a range of educational professionals from different settings to use evidence-based research to promote changes and improvements. Jo believes supportive relationships create climates of trust in which collaboration can thrive. @Miss_JL4

Schools that value evidence-based research and encourage the use of case studies and articles from organisations such as the @EducEndowFoundn are most likely to ensure improvements in areas of concern. @Miss_JL4

Jo is passionate about the use of research in teaching to ensure effective implementation and change within schools. She believes strong schools’ decisions are led by evidence-based research and implementation is thoroughly thought through by SLTs.

Jo has worked with her team and SCITT to help them to focus on and embed different areas of cognitive science in their teaching. Relationships are important to Jo, and she has enjoyed mentoring and coaching a range of teachers and trainee teachers over the years.

Today we are shining the light on Jo Lane, Deputy Headteacher of Walton-on-Trent C of E Primary and Nursey School. Jo leads on Teaching and Learning, Assessment and the Curriculum. Her specialisms are cognitive science and mathematics.

At KS2 book club tonight we looked at instructive text @OpenUni_RfP the children followed instructions on making tea and looked at peppermint tea. They made @Miss_JL4 a cup of tea. Then we drank our tea and discussed our favourite books with a nice biscuit #JTMATlovesreading
