@SwailesRuth I was at a job interview and was sitting outside the classroom. A Y1 child from the session I’d just taught walked past me and whispered “You’re like that Miss Sunny from Matilda.” Teaching aspirations fulfilled!

What’s the loveliest or funniest thing a child has ever said to you? 3/4 year old: “Nice hair lady, you look like Merida.” He promptly burped, nodded and wandered off.

I always just loved hearing stories about the children, share anecdotes - that’s where your real knowledge of the children lies.
