This might seem petty to some but to me its a deal breaker. Took the family to a "dine in" Pizza Hut last night. The waitress brings the menus and I notice it has no prices on it. I asked her for one that has the prices as that helps me decide what to order. She said that I could scan the QR code on my phone to get the prices. Great, but I have a rule at the supper table and its no cell phones, not even mine. So that wasn't an option unless I went back out to the car and get my cell phone. So I did go back out to my car along with my whole family and went to another pizza restaurant that had prices on the menu. Later on I checked on line and found out that it wasn't just this Pizza Hut but many of them lack menu prices because corporate frequently adjusts costs. Sorry corporate but, I think this is wrong. I want a menu with prices on it or I may think your are being deceptive.
I know people are allowed to mow their lawns during the day, but 7 a.m. every Saturday is starting to feel rough 😅
My neighbor fires up the mower like clockwork every weekend, and Saturday is usually my one morning to sleep in after a long work week.
I did ask once if he’d consider waiting until around 9 a.m., especially since the yard only takes about 30 minutes, but he said he likes getting it done early.
I get it. It’s his yard, and he’s not necessarily doing anything wrong. But when the whole street is still quiet, that mower feels extra loud.
I’ve tried earplugs, white noise, and closing the windows, but nothing really blocks it out.
Maybe I’m just tired, but I do wish there was a little more consideration for neighbors on weekend mornings.
Be honest, is 7 a.m. too early to mow on a Saturday, or is that still fair game?
Just moved into this older home and the elderly couple had these hooks in 3 rooms. One of the family rooms, a bedroom and the master bathroom. What did they use them for, what can I use them for?

I've been noodling over this sudden irrational anger being directed at boomers and gen-Xers by younger generations over the costs of living.
One of the things that has struck me is their belief that minimum wage jobs should provide you with anything and everything your heart desires up to and including purchasing a home.
Nobody and I do mean NOBODY I knew growing up looked at minimum wage work as anything other than an after-school job or a steppingstone to an ultimately higher earning job.
Left-wing politicians and idealogues have pushed this narrative that everybody "deserves a living wage" right out of high school when historically that has never been the case.
It's taken root with younger generations unfortunately and I personally think that's where much of this misplaced angst against the older generations is coming from.
@AutoVisionzEmbl@Mt2Aguy They say they can’t afford to buy a home, but they want brand new homes with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. For many of us our first home was a “starter” home or a fixer upper and it took years of work and equity before we were able to buy our dream home.
Agree. It seems the younger generation has an expectation of leaving home and immediately having the same standard of living their parents have. They don't seem to comprehend it took them decades to get there. They are learning the hard way that life doesn't hand out participation trophies.
