This weeks #Fridayflyover is Mount Etna, one of Earth’s most active volcanoes & a constantly evolving landscape, shaped by of years of eruptions & lava flows. Observing Etna from above helps scientists monitor volcanic activity & better understand the forces shaping our planet.🚀

Hearing from the Artemis II astronauts — especially @csa_asc astronauts @Astro_Jeremy and Jenni Gibbons — was a powerful reminder that the next era of lunar exploration is no longer a distant idea. It’s happening now, and Canada is helping lead the way.

It was incredible to be in a room filled with people who believe in the future of exploration and in Canada’s role in shaping it. From industry leaders to astronauts, there was a shared sense of excitement, optimism, and momentum throughout the entire event.

This week's #FridayFlyover is of Dryden. Did you know it's Ontario’s least populated city? It sits right on the Trans-Canada Highway, almost exactly halfway between Winnipeg and Thunder Bay, and runs on Central Time instead of Eastern like the rest of the province.

This clever little rover is now officially hitched aboard Griffin-1! Once on the lunar surface, this joint mission called "BEACON" will explore with our CubeRover hardware, navigate with @MissionCtrlSS Spacefarer™ platform, and even flex its AI muscles with Spacefarer AI™. BEACON will enable operators in Canada and US to perceive and navigate the lunar surface, demonstrate onboard machine learning capabilities, and even gather data for rovers operating in shadowed regions
