@JTGatlin Cannot stand San Antonio. The way Wemby reacted when Houston didn’t get the first pick just can’t be forgotten. SAS are the same as DAL, I will never root for them. I want OKC to get to the finals and lose to NYK.

Just a reminder that $TSLA owns 18,990,195 SpaceX shares, roughly $2 billion worth. If SpaceX IPOs above a $3 trillion valuation, Tesla would have an approximate $12 billion dollar stake overnight. That’s a nice gain!

One of these is not like the other: SpaceX IPO: $2T Valuation Amazon: $2.8T Valuation SpaceX revenue: $18.7B Amazon revenue: $742B Explain this gap.
The Assembly@InTheAssembly

SpaceX is about to be the largest IPO in human history. But here’s the catch… It’s also going to be the trade most retail investors REGRET for the next 5 years. Here’s why, and the 4 space stocks I’m actually paying attention to instead: On June 12, SpaceX will list on Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX. The expected valuation is around $1.75 trillion. That’s more than twice the previous record IPO, and more than the GDP of all but a handful of countries on earth. But even if SpaceX doubles from there, your return is 100%. In the same window, a small cap space stock with the right setup can do 5x or 10x. The math simply does not work for retail investors hoping for asymmetric returns from a trillion dollar IPO. You are buying a fully priced, fully discovered, fully institutional name on day one. The real money in space is not SpaceX. It’s in the smaller, less-followed public names that will get revalued the moment SpaceX trades. Here are the 4 I am watching: VELO Velo3D 3D prints metal parts inside SpaceX's Raptor engines. SpaceX backed them early and was their first customer. The cleanest direct supplier name on the public market. RDW Redwire Space The picks and shovels of space infrastructure. Solar arrays, deployable structures, microgravity manufacturing. The stuff every satellite and spacecraft needs. BKSY BlackSky Real-time earth observation satellites with major defense and intelligence customer base. Sub-billion-dollar market cap with a Pentagon backlog. GHM Graham Corporation Rocket turbopumps through its Barber-Nichols subsidiary. Already supplies multiple US launch players. Nobody is pricing the space exposure inside this name. Most of these sit between $1 billion and $4 billion market cap. Meaning even if they 5x to 10x from here, they would still be relatively small businesses. That’s the power of an asymmetric bet. Either it goes to zero, or it does 5x to 10x over the next few years. At The Assembly, we are a team of 8 with one goal: help you find the right stocks early. Turn notifications on so you don’t miss our alerts. This is EXTREMELY important. If you are not following us yet, you will understand later why that was a mistake.

Good news for the Rockets in here re: the 2027 draft: Due to new restrictions on teams getting consecutive top picks or top-5 picks, both Washington & Utah can't get the No. 1 pick, and Utah can't get a top-5 pick. This moves up the odds for those BKN & PHX picks HOU owns.
Kevin O'Connor@KevinOConnor

Sources: The NBA has sent the latest version of its Draft Lottery reform proposal to teams ahead of their May 28 vote. The “3-2-1” proposal is largely the same and details have emerged on a rule that had previously lacked clarity. More on @YahooSports: sports.yahoo.com/nba/article/nb…

Ai may cause job losses but the employment crisis is when the Ai gets put into humanoid robots. Walmart, Amazon and UPS are the three largest employers in the US. Nearly 70% of the work they do can be replaced by robots. 90% of shipping and trucking can be replaced. Retail and fast food restaurants, hotel labor, farming, transportation, all replaced by humanoid robots. This is coning in the next decade and yes it will be a crisis. Unemployment of 50% is possible.

He is worth more to Houston as the centerpiece trade of a rebuild. Sell high, get multiple top prospects and rebuild. Yordan us injury prone and Houston will not contend for years with this roster as is constructed. One great player on an awful team is more frustrating then selling high and watching 4 high end prospects develop together.

@JeremyBranham To me, this situation is extremely simple. You offer an extension to Yordan in the summer to see where his mind and desire to be in Houston are at. If he declines, it means he will test free agency, so you move him before then. If he signs an extension, we embrace him. That’s it.

@esidery Both those trades you mentioned were huge failures. Frps are much more valuable after the lottery rules change and no one is giving 4frps for anyone who is not a bonafide all star. Not gonna happen.

If the Pelicans decide to listen on trade offers for Trey Murphy III, expect the price to be similar to Mikal Bridges and Desmond Bane: Bridges: Five 1sts (four unprotected) Bane: Four 1sts + a swap Murphy could ultimately end up netting more picks than Giannis Antetokounmpo.

This is the way. Great start to a rebuild. Now trade Alvarez for 3 top 50 prospects and 2 top 150 prospects. Then Peña for 2 top 100 prospects and 1 top 150. Finally, Hunter Brown for 2 top 100 prospects. If you can flip Walker for a good prospect or 2 you do it as well. This instantly becomes the best farm in MLB and we have 2 high draft picks this year. Next year we let the kids develop and the big contracts of Altuve and Correa come off the books and reload after the lockout.

Getting into the playoffs to be destroyed as the worst team there isn’t an accomplishment. We want to be contenders, Champions, and settling for mediocrity is not entertaining. This team needs to blow it up. The fans will support a rebuild and get excited about young talent. Stop the suffering. Right now the team is nearly unwatchable.

@JeremyBranham For sure a WS, but I’m just getting at their path to a playoff spot is easier as opposed to other teams/divisions Definitely make some moves to bolster the team for a playoff push, but they don’t necessarily have to start selling off pieces - yet.

What? Make moves to bolster the team for a playoff push? The worst pitching staff in MLB. The most injury prone team in MLB. You want to be a buyer at the deadline? This team needs to trade Alvarez, Peña, Paredes and Hunter Brown ASAP. Get back 10-12 extremely high upside and young talented players. Draft as high as possible this year and next. Let the big contracts like Altuve, Correa, McCullers, and others come off the books. Then add big name free agents to a young core where needed. It’s not hard to see that’s the only path to contention.

In a Wemby world the most important thing is stopping him. The only player capable of stopping Wemby is Giannis. Also, the only way to neutralize Wemby defense is to run meaning a fast paced offense is a must. Jokic, Sengun just aren’t built to beat this Wemby. FVV, Jaylen Brown, Amen, Bari, Giannis. With Tari, Adams, Houser, DFS, another Ball handler, rim running big. Can beat Spurs.

@DamienPetersNBA Wemby is 7ft 7” Enough with this propaganda that the analysts keep saying 7’4 blah blah blah. They are afraid to say 7’7” because they know these kind of heights do not play long in the NBA. But he is legit 7’7” and growing! Its not unbelievable he could be 7’9” in a few years.

The NBA is in a weird place where a 7’1” star who finished 2nd in Defensive Player of the Year voting doesn’t guard the opponents best player at 7’5”. We all understand the logic behind it, but in theory it doesn’t make any sense. I felt the same when Anthony Davis, one of the all-time great defenders in league history would not take the matchup on Nikola Jokic when it mattered most. I do wonder in some ways whether we are overcomplicating things schematically.

these bond yields spiking is so, so bad but it’s also like who cares cause earnings aren’t slowing down so… unless the market eventually starts to care last time we were even close to 4.7% on the 10-year, S&P was down 30% 😂 AI capex is literally the only story keeping this party going and it simply cannot slow down but once again, this is a dip for ants, the parabolic moves up make this dip look like these stocks are just going back to normal which ironically might be “the dip” funnily enough, software down intraday as semis pump again 😆 the market is just torn on these sectors but also refuses to care about bonds and oil still not extreme greed yet either
