@Steelers_DB I'm good if they get Ioane or Lemon, but if they don't bring in any of those 3, then what the hell? That's not quite "putting all your eggs in one basket," but it's something similar. PLEASE let one of the last visits be Tyson.

Only a couple visits left for the Steelers and no Tyson, Concepcion or Cooper… interesting!

@ovppodcast As much as I like the bulk of this match, Savage got worked over for almost all of it, then shoves Shawn into the turnbuckle, hits him with a one-legged clothesline... and that's enough to keep Shawn down while he slowly climbs the turnbuckle and hits his finish. Weak.

4/14/92: Randy Savage narrowly retains the belt against Shawn Michaels. Sherri then throws Mike McGuirk from her chair and proceeds to beat down Savage with it as Shawn attacks any official in sight.

@MikedUpSports1 I wonder if Todd Bowles, knowing he's on the hot seat, would try to convince the GM against future proofing moves like trading down.

I’m circling pick 15 (Tampa Bay) as the one to watch for a potential #Steelers move up next Thursday night. The Jets will likely target a WR at 16, so moving up five spots could secure Lemon or Tyson. And if they VERY secretly like Simpson, that scenario also makes sense…

@Steelers_DB I will never pretend to be an expert, but I'm thinking some recent pullback on Tyson might be some copium or just a way to try to simplify things, as it's complicated to consider a great talent who's injury prone... so just say he's not tough. I want the Steelers to get him.

Rant incoming: I'm going to be completely honest- I have a real issue with the recent questioning of Jordyn Tyson's toughness. Here's why: 1st clip: 3rd Q vs. Texas Tech, pulls his hamstring in pretty obvious fashion. 2nd clip: Misses only a few plays. 3rd & goal- comes back in and smokes the CB 1v1 for a touchdown. Next drive- 3rd & 6, clearly hampered, turns upfield to block for the QB on the scramble drill. 3rd clip: ASU is down 3 w/ less than 2 mins to go. Tyson takes the game over by catching four passes and drawing a penalty on the goal line. His reward? Gets rolled up on as time expires. His season is basically over from there. Is that not toughness personified? There is a difference between being injury prone and being soft.

@ToddUES @GrappleClips I wondered this, myself. Obviously he wasn't going to be a main eventer at that point (though he looked good in the 02 Rumble), but man, they jobbed him out to everybody.

I remember the chills I got, the first time I saw this scene with the Ringwraith. Called me old fashioned, but I prefer the @ralphbakshi animated Hobbit and Lord of the Rings over the live action movies any day. Anyone else enjoy these?

Her mother spent $4,000 to record a birthday song for a thirteen year old girl. It changed the next decade of that girl's life in ways nobody could have predicted. The song was called Friday. Rebecca Black recorded it during school break, just for fun. It sat at around 1,000 views for a month. Then it didn't. It became the most disliked video on all of YouTube. The count was public back then. Everyone could see it. Millions of people had gone out of their way to press a button just to register their contempt for a thirteen year old girl. She was in eighth grade. Kids at school would walk past her singing it in mocking voices. Food was thrown at her. She received threatening messages serious enough that police investigated them. She eventually switched to homeschooling. At nineteen, almost every producer she approached told her they would never work with her. She wrote years later that she had spent most of her teenage years terribly ashamed of herself and afraid of the world. She kept going. Lady Gaga called the song genius. Katy Perry championed her publicly and invited her to appear in her own music video. Friday was covered on Glee. Her 2023 debut album received critical acclaim. In 2025 she released her second album, toured across North America and Europe, and opened for Katy Perry on a world tour. She has turned down every offer to have the video removed from the internet. She said pulling it down would only attach more shame to something she no longer feels ashamed of. The video has been watched over 167 million times.

@CarterJahad I like Interstellar a lot, despite the giant leaps in logic contained within... But Birdman is the better movie. Both great, though.

Ten years ago Interstellar was snubbed from an Oscar Nom for Best Picture. Birdman won that year. Which one do we still talk about non stop? I’ll wait.
Cinema Tweets@CinemaTweets1

One Battle After Another is officially an #Oscar winner for Best Picture. I promise you, this is a decision that will age well. In 5 years, in 10 years, we will look back on this decision as the right film to win Best Picture. 2025 was an awesome year for film- this was the best.

Conan O'Brien says he has "incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country" after traveling to Ireland and seeing his great-grandfather lived. "I went back to Ireland and I [saw] a great genealogist who said, 'I found where your great-grandfather’s home was.' The home is gone, but he found the little spot where he lived, near the Galbally Mountains. He said, 'I’ll go there and show it to you,' and I said, 'We’ll do it on camera.' "I was expecting to have these jokes loaded up; we had props and funny things we were going to do... But I got there, and I did not expect this because I'm not someone who wears my emotions on my sleeve, but I got emotional. It was very powerful. "This was a very small plot of land. He was a tenant farmer, so it wasn't his. He didn't have money, and he needed to move on because it wasn't working; probably not enough to eat, couldn't sustain. So, he left and went to America, and here I am a couple of generations later. "What's amazing to me is when you have that experience and you stand there, I have incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country. It takes an entire lifetime to go to a country where, often, people don't speak the language. They have to spend their entire lives just getting things started for the next generation; it's a whole lifetime that you're feeding into this process. "I was just thinking about this guy, whom I'll never meet, who had to do that. I think I was overcome by the fact that there's a lot of sadness in that story, and in a lot of these stories. People leave not because they think, 'Hey, I just want to go have fun in America.' They leave because they have to." (via Jimmy Kimmel Live)

@Steelers_DB You'd know better than I would, but you really think handing Samuel 1 yr, $4 mil takes them out of re-signing Pierre? That seems odd to me.

I lean yes, assuming Josina is right that there is a market for Pierre. He needs to cash out, will be his last real chance.

@Steelers_DB Does the Samuel signing take us out of Pierre coming back ?

@JFowlerESPN I don't hate it at all. Cheap enough. He acquitted himself reasonably well in the time that he played. While I don't love the "run it back!" mentality, they almost certainly should bring James Pierre back, too.

The Steelers are re-signing corner Asante Samuel Jr. to a one-year, $4M deal, per source. Samuel, who recovered from neck surgery in 2025, gets a full season in Pittsburgh.
