Hey, I’m back in X but mostly as a lurker. Dave wants me to extremely limit my time on this platform and I don’t blame him.

@FemCondition Yeah right. Cleaning up after myself vs myself AND a husband and kids who leave food, smudges, spills, dishes, toys, and dirty clothes all over the place. I feel like a human roomba. Working 9-5 is the same when single and married. Just a little less pressure when single.

@RyanHar61 @WomenBeingAwful Disposable in the relationship, obviously. She’s not entirely wrong in fearing this: guys are more likely to remarry even before the ink on their wives’ death certificates are dry.

@MisterFish7 @WomenBeingAwful Men are disposable. We do all the dangerous jobs, always are last on the sinking ship, fight in wars, die for our family. This bitxh gets butthurt over a hypothetical that is unlikely but we live with that expectation daily and women feel entitled to it.

@JadeAtrophis "But there is NOTHING women fear MORE than having a kid with the wrong guy." Really easy trick here, stop fucking losers and deadbeats then. Well over 90% of men are decent hardworking men but those guys don't even exist to them. I have zero pity for women.

Okay, then actually engage with men and select one I do not understand why women act as if they are utterly helpless here. Either you have agency and are independent, or you don't. You can't have it both ways!

You’re still not getting it: women WANT babies VERY MUCH. But there is NOTHING women fear MORE than having a kid with the wrong guy. Bullying me about running out of time changes nothing bc I DO WANT kids, but there is NOTHING I want less than having them with the wrong person

@GreeneMan6 The issue is that women are actually just really bad at judging who is or isn’t a good man because they can’t apply male standards to the question.

My wife tells me it was near impossible to find a marriageable man in her metro area. It’s hard for me to imagine from the other side, knowing her range of optionality. There definitely is a mismatch quality control problem.

I do all the housework because I like it, I’m good at it, and the fact it takes stress off my husband’s plate is a bonus. I recently got a part time job because our kid is now in school and doing great. I think the best thing for kids is having a mom and dad who love each other. It models trust and stability. Also, as women, we can’t measure EVERY choice we make as “this will benefit my husband and kids more.” Otherwise we may become subconsciously resentful, burnt out, or feel guilty. The balance is different for each family.

I do not want my husband doing housework. I want my husband to do what I cannot, which is provide for our family. I am more than happy to do housework all day long if he does that. How is this not the best deal ever for women? Ladies-agree or disagree?
Jill Filipovic@JillFilipovic

Men routinely overestimate the amount of childcare and housework they do. Women underestimate how much they do and overestimate how much their husbands do. One solution: dads should commit to doing 70% of the work and it’ll wind up closer to 50-50.

@MisterFish7 @hollowearthterf Also, show me one legitimate feminist organization that pushed anything politically to include women in the draft, again, but the BS, feminism isn't about equality, never been, it's about female advocacy for previlge

@celestialbe1ng I agree, finding the right guy is worth the wait, even if you wait until 30+. Having kids with the right guy can be challenging enough, having kids with the wrong guy sounds like hell on earth.

@Mo9Grey @hollowearthterf WILPF US, WAND, NOW, and CODEPINK are feminist organizations that oppose the draft for men. On the other hand, there are some feminist organizations that wanted women to be included in the draft. Do your homework, it’s not hard.

@MisterFish7 @hollowearthterf That's not the point, back then there was no democracy in which women had the power to shift laws laws and decisions made by the government, today they do, they have that power, and they are protected from the draft even if they vote to send more to war

@Mo9Grey @hollowearthterf Even in this “democracy” women have shown to be less in favor of war than men in polls, plus it is elected leaders who choose to go to war: I don’t remember them holding a referendum to see if the country should go to war or not.

@MattWalshBlog If my kid is pushing the boundaries he usually DOESN’T hear me unless I use a stern tone. Using a calm and reasonable voice goes right over his head. He needs to feel the negative reaction his behavior incites. One can be a stern parent without being a raging asshole.

There are different ways of raising your voice. If you're using a commanding and stern tone to cut through a child's defiance, then it can be very effective. But a lot of parents yell because they're angry and frustrated, which rather than communicating strength to the child, conveys weakness and helplessness. Some parents think they're disciplinarians because they yell and punish all the time. But children with those kinds of parents often end up even more unruly and dysfunctional than children who do "gentle parenting" (which is also a terrible idea). The point is to be a commanding presence in your home, not a demanding presence. Leaders command attention and obedience. If you have to demand it, you're already losing.
jameson (big deck energy)@jamesonhaslam

idk why I bought into the whole gentle parenting thing, raising your voice is EXTREMELY effective

@MattWalshBlog You flew over the original problem: “Erika Kirk seen.” People expect her to mourn privately for longer before she takes on the world. One can never judge, but it’s understandable why people find it odd.

Erika Kirk seen crying: “She’s so performative! Look at those fake tears!” Erika Kirk seen not crying: “Wow looks like she’s moved on pretty fast! Why isn’t she more upset??” Erika Kirk seen laughing: “What’s so funny? Her husband just died!” Erika Kirk seen frowning: “Why’s she scowling like that? What’s she so angry about???” Erika Kirk seen existing in public: “She should be home with her kids! She’s abandoned them!” Erika Kirk not seen existing in public: “Where is she? What is she hiding??? Why is she being so suspiciously quiet????” Erika Kirk seen eating pancakes: “Look at this stupid bimbo eating pancakes! Too good for waffles huh?” Erika Kirk seen eating waffles: “Really INTERESTING that she chose waffles of all things! Kind of suspicious if you ask me!”

No where in the bible did Jesus Himself say that wives should obey their husbands. He did talk about the permanence of marriage, that leadership isn’t about lording over others, and that love is what fulfills the law: but you bible-thumpers like to turn the epistles into fetishes.

Wives are to obey their husbands. They are called to do so even if their husbands are not loving them well. The only exception would be if that husband is calling his wife to violate the clear commands of scripture. Other than that, she is called to obey her husband as unto the Lord. In the same way husbands are called to sacrificially love their wives even when their wives aren’t respecting & obeying them. A marriage isn’t a quid pro quo relationship. It is a sacred covenant wherein both parties are called to die to self and fulfill their marital duties even when the other partner isn’t fulfilling theirs. This is Christian relationship 101

Christian nationalist Joshua Haymes tells young men to find a wife who will "obey you" and "submit to your authority": "You can cure a good godly woman of her feminism if she is willing to obey you."
