I just got to thinking about what I'd use one of @Elegoo_Official's Orange Storm Giga for. I think a custom GIGA sized Sound Diffuser would be pretty incredible, and have some incredible practical applications.
What would you print on a ludicrously large printer?

@themitch22 There is a lot you can do, but not a lot us stuff to show off just boring brackets and caps. Some practical stuff is your house number, a bird house or bird feeder. Storage boxes, measuring cups.

I find it amazing that I can use my 3D printers, laser and CNC to make wood, plastic, and metal parts and decoration with computers. But I’m having a hard time finding a real world problem to solve besides it being a self-actualizing tool. What real world problems can I solve?

@joeltelling Just a reminder that if you buy something from a company you have consumer rights no matter what the platform is or is telling you. You can't sign away consumer laws that is not how it works. Kickstarter only works because lawsuits are expensive and annoying.

Hey, remember when that guy ripped off my design and I was actually chuffed that I'd inspired someone? That feeling is long gone. Check this BS out.

@MisterMakerNL_ You are of course entitled to our opinion, but what you are saying seems to go against how the word plagiarism is defined.
That part solves a specific problem. I designed it. It’s an idea I had. He’s passing it off as his own idea.

@mrhodes Like I said if the person isn't using your files it isn't your work. If you model a deadpool bust from the ground up, it would be a bit stupid if someone who did it before would call plagiarism because they did a similar thing.
It's only plagiarism if they copy your files.

Plagiarism is the act of passing off someone’s work as your own.
A patent is a defendable right that protects your ideas.
There is no requirement for a patent in order to label something plagiarism.

@mrhodes Yeah but the person didn't just copy paste your files. And the design isn't yours so nothing of you has been taken. If you gave it a distinct shape that wasn't functional it would be plagiarism.

@mrhodes Even if you have a patent then only the use of it in a way it's patented would be illegal sharing the design would not. Unless you are Lego and can just send an army of lawyers on someone.

Yeah, I won't be engaging any further. There is absolutely no point debating with someone who is unable to take feedback or criticism (or in this case accusaitons of plagiarism) without falling back to insults.

I had to learn the hard way but the people I met wanted to be spoon fed 😔
