@Oceansoup65 I tried watching Marigold when it first started, but I didn't make it more than a couple of shows. I know it's almost a cliche to say after the fact, but it's true: the vibes of that whole show just felt "off" to me. I couldn't actually pinpoint why, but I have a better idea now.

As a conclusion, the thing about Windrose is the best offense is actually a good defense. This is also true of ship battles, where the hull plating that enhances repair kits is probably the best one in the game. This build is late game, but focus on defense until you can get it.

There are other things the build uses, like a pistol that can fire twice in quick succession, or "talents" that are all built around making it even harder to kill me, but that gets a bit deeper into the weeds and the rapier and armor combo are what is so strong.

So, I probably shouldn't post this, because there is a non-zero chance that someone from the development team sees it and takes my fun away, but I have made a build that makes it very, very hard for me to die on Windrose, and in this short thread I will explain all the details.

@FriendlyGirlKKo I'm in the last area of the current early access build, and my build is actually kind of OP even without my gear being leveled up, so that does help survive. But it's probably my only real complaint. All the other gameplay elements are genre-standard and work well.

I bought Two Point Museum back when it first came out, and only played like an hour of it then. Dove back in a 3 days ago and have 10 hours now. Man, this may be the best Two Point game yet.

@FriendlyGirlKKo Having said that, a friend of mine and I went out in the most powerful ship you can build and bullied low level NPC ships for fun and resources, and that is the part that made it all worth it for me.
