Elijah Wood is DJing a ‘Lord of the Rings’ rave. Wood and Hollywood music supervisor Zach Cowie are bringing their all-vinyl DJ project Wooden Wisdom to Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver on May 31, headlining a Middle-earth-themed rave to mark the 25th anniversary of ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ The already sold-out night welcomes elves, orcs, and hobbits alike, with a setlist that will “weave together rare gems and beloved classics, with lots of 70’s & 80’s disco.” Wood will appear earlier that day at Fan Expo Denver, where he'll be celebrating the same anniversary in a rather more conventional setting. Wood and Cowie have been DJing together for 15 years, with upcoming dates in Orlando, Kansas City, Dallas, and Los Angeles — though none quite like this one.
