In my view, this is where the Grizzlies’ synergy began to unravel.
The Grizzlies have gone 24–36 in the regular season and 0–4 in the playoffs.
Prior to Tuomas Iisalo (Leo) taking over as head coach, they were 44–29, posting a .602 winning percentage under Taylor Jenkins (Virgo), who had A+ synergy with the core players.

Lisalo (Leo) synergy with the Grizzlies: C+ This move introduces a wildcard scenario for the Grizzlies. As a Leo, Lisalo brings consistency, enthusiasm, and natural leadership. On the flip side, the players is highly compatible within itself, A+ synergy outside of Lisalo. The challenge will be getting the team to embrace Lisalo's philosophy and leadership. If he can establish that early on and foster a strong culture, it could be highly beneficial for the Grizzlies. These types of changes take time to develop. Typically, when there’s a transition, there’s a period of heightened awareness and increased effort. Once that initial phase settles, we can get a clearer picture of how the team functions as a whole. Lisalo has strong connections with: Morant, G. Jackson, Konchar, Spencer. Wildcard: Bane, Jackson Jr., Edey, Wells, Pippen Jr., Aldama, Kennard, Huff, V. Williams, Bagley, Clarke. Overall, the players on the court connect very well, A+. Head coach to player synergy: C+ Hence-- creating the wildcard scenario.

@TimGarrisonMN Love Ayo, think he’d be a great get, and is B1G. I try to compare to NAW who in my mind is easily better and got $15 mil per.
Being a bench player on the bulls has to count as some kind of negative that people who don’t watch every game is missing.

I am trying to be realistic - I think if they stay, both will be slightly above the minimum. I just put them at a 4.5m cap hit per. If it's less, great, more flexibility.
Have you watched Ayo lately? He's blossomed into an elite shooter who can attack the paint and can handle in a pinch. His defense has dropped off, but I have faith it's still in there. A two-way wing who can handle and shoot is going to put him at around the full MLE (about 14.8-15.1m projected). I think it's fairly realistic, especially if Ayo plays well in the playoffs, you'd have to go above the MLE to at least $16m per year to keep him.
If you get him for less, at say $12m, it leaves even more flexibility.

A core reason why I’ve been so intrigued by the Wolves landing Quinten Grimes or Ayo Dosunmu is because they’re needle movers off the bench that fill real gaps in our rotation this year, while the Wolves have enough flexibility to lock them up long term.

Next year, the Wolves currently sit with $24m under the 2nd apron with 5 roster spots open.
So the Timberwolves trade Rob and TJ for Ayo, which leaves Minnesota with about $33.7m under the apron for 6 spots on the roster.
In this scenario, you can likely sign both Clark and Bones to a 2 year 8-10m contract, plus about 2.8m for your draft pick, leaving you with about $22 million for 3 roster spots, and Minnesota likely only fills two of them.
That means you can offer Ayo or Grimes up to about 17-18m per year for a long term contract and leave enough flexibility left over for a minimum contract to get to he required minimum of 14 standard NBA contracts and have 2-3m left over under the apron, like we have this year.

@Mitch_Hex @NoCeilingsNBA Sorber. Especially looking at the long term play. I think Wolf would be a great fit, especially if Naz leaves. There are a lot of interesting options in that range for them though.

Just submitted my final board for our consensus @NoCeilingsNBA one that comes out next week.
For the most part, there isn't a ton of difference in rankings within the tiers and would look significantly different if done specifically for each team. Happy to discuss any of it.
