How can that be a “careless challenge”? It’s accidental, Muniz has not deliberately put his foot on Chalobah’s. He has to put his foot somewhere when executing skill like that. The problem for officials now is if that is deemed the benchmark then, if refs are going to be consistent, loads of goals will be chalked off for accidental contact. VAR was not brought in to be this forensic and look for ways to rule goals out. It was brought in for clear and obvious errors. And that wasn’t one. The authorities should be celebrating skill and goals - not stopping them. #CHEFUL
