For three of the four halves of the Barcelona tie, #nufc were great. In the first half it actually looked on - classic Eddie Howe counter attacking display. The fourth was abject and painful though, the defending as bad as I can remember. End of the season is important - and Sunday huge for the club - but this squad needs surgery. Some difficult decisions probably need to be made, some ruthlessness required.

@lee_wilson1 I don’t think Botman and Tino were fit enough to start 3 games in a week, their injury record shows that, for me any decent bids I would sell them and get replacements in, we can’t rely on either of them to be fit enough through a whole season, they miss big chunks every season

Burn’s and Tripps’ time in this team should be done. Saturday at chelsea is an example of how well nufc can defend. If Burn starts on Sunday I will flip.

We won’t finish top 10 let alone European spots. Replacing Howe is not the answer, club have done this to themselves by their planning of “the most transformative window in our history”. Keeping Eales & Mitchell with no replacement was disgraceful & left us in the state we’re in.

@lee1892Johnson For be defence is a massive priority, right back especially, we can't keep rolling out Trippier, tino is massively injury prone, same with botman and burn needs upgrading now age is going against him now

Still saying priority positions to fill this summer are a centre forward & a goalkeeper Obviously other areas do but those are fucking priority regardless of what we spent on Wolt & Wissa admit mistakes & move on #nufc

We’ve conceded three against leeds, Brentford and Everton and Bournemouth in the cup at home this season. We have an inability to defend our box because favourites are preferred and players past it are still shoe horned in #nufc

I can accept soft goals. That’s football. What is harder to accept is stupid goals and that is what the 2nd and 3rd were today, courtesy of 2 players who should know better. The 3rd especially. We played better than the score line says all because of that stupidity. Poor.

@CraigHope_DM Bang on. Everyone - players as well as Howe - needs to ask themselves serious questions.

An NUFC performance to revisit shortcomings they sought to address post Brentford. Too easy to score against, most vulnerable when scoring & big-money attacking signings making little impact. Howe got the starting set-up wrong but application of those picked has to be better.

@M_Gi11on We scored 2 goals against a David Moyes side. That is and should be well enough to win a game against them because that side he has is not a goal threat unless you gift wrap goals like we did.

GK and defence needs rebuilding in the summer. Too many living on past memories. Tripps burn and pope should be nowhere near the first XI next season. Anything else is abject failure #nufc
