🇺🇸 Hegseth just summoned Anthropic's CEO to the Pentagon and it's not a friendly meeting. The Pentagon told Anthropic straight up this is a "sh*t-or-get-off-the-pot" meeting. Claude is the only AI running in classified military systems, and the Pentagon wants the guardrails gone. Anthropic said no to two things: mass surveillance of Americans and autonomous weapons. Now the Pentagon is threatening to label Anthropic a supply-chain risk, which would nuke their contracts and force every defense contractor to drop Claude too. Hegseth is giving Amodei an ultimatum tomorrow morning. Source: AXIOS

I think it is worth while distinguishing between NGOs that act like lobby groups and NGO charities that are doing things like humanitarian and disaster relief work usually off the back of volunteers

I don’t think what @ElonMusk has in mind is catching the random grant for a study on transsexual squirrel square dancing. He’s looking at flawed systems. He’s looking at obsolete premises. He’s looking at the big picture. That’s where the money is. Although, yes, we’ve got to cut out the studies on transsexual squirrel square dancing too. But that goes away when the system is fixed, and the premises about what government should be doing are sound.

I prefer a scheme close to the regular Intelligence Cycle (like many #osint-specialists), but RIS Propeller Intelligence Cycle is also worth a look.

#OSINT People, what is a better framework? The Intelligence Cycle? RIS Propeller? Are they actually fundamentally different? What contexts do they have more advantages?
