If COVID shots were given away for free, because they are life saving, then why isn't chemotherapy, insulin, and EpiPens also given away for free?

@mario4thenorth Bull shit, you have no context for what led up to this, or what the person’s family told the police. You’re nothing but a click whore.

A biophysics grad was just detained under BC's Mental Health Act. All based on a psychiatrist's opinion after observing him in a cafe. He looked at him & said “I’m certifying you” THAT’S ALL IT TOOK. No warrant. No on scene evaluation. No psych evaluation. No paperwork shown. No chance to comply voluntarily. Just because a psychiatrist saw him in a cafe. Meanwhile, the same city has a documented drug addicts, where one person, has been apprehended 79 times and is still on the street. The government can grab a credentialed researcher off the road in 20 minutes but it can't keep a chronic offender out of the same intersection for more than a week? What a joke.

@BraedenSorbo You have zero context for what the doctor saw or what this person’s family told the police. They are trying to help someone they think is a risk to themselves and others.

I have not seen anybody talking about what’s going on in Canada right now. This man was pulled over and told by police that he had to come with them because a psychiatrist labeled him “certifiable.” No paperwork, no rule of law, just a doctor saying that if he didn’t come with him right then and there that he would be arrested. The fact that a government could do this is terrifying.

@CryptoPal4 @TheShadowIntelX He is not entirely mistaken. I posit that it is impossible truly to educate a person in four years, but it is possible to teach how to become educated. How one uses that ability is Up to the individual. Today I am finally reading Thucydides’ tract on the Peloponnesian War. $16.

Elon Musk just put the entire university system on trial. Not the curriculum. Not the professors. The premise. Musk: “You don’t need college to learn stuff. Everything is available basically for free. You can learn anything you want for free.” For a thousand years, universities held one monopoly. Access. You paid the toll or you stayed ignorant. The internet erased that in a decade. Every lecture. Every framework. Every textbook. Free. From any screen on Earth. The six-figure tuition is no longer buying knowledge. It is buying a signal. Musk: “There is a value that colleges have, which is seeing whether somebody can work hard at something, including a bunch of annoying homework assignments, and still do their homework assignments.” That is the product. Not intelligence. Not creativity. Not vision. Compliance. You are paying $200,000 to prove you can tolerate bureaucracy on a schedule. Musk: “Colleges are basically for fun and to prove you can do your chores. But they’re not for learning.” The entire system is a sorting machine for corporate HR. It does not measure what you can build. It measures whether you can sit still, follow directions, and deliver on command. Four years of obedience dressed as education. Musk: “If you’re trying to do something exceptional, you must have evidence of exceptional ability. I don’t consider going to college evidence of exceptional ability.” The system optimizes for average. It rewards the compliant. It certifies the patient. It quietly filters out everyone who refuses to wait for permission. The ones who reshaped the modern world never finished the test. Musk: “Gates is a pretty smart guy, he dropped out. Jobs is pretty smart, he dropped out. Larry Ellison, smart guy, he dropped out.” They did not drop out because it was too hard. They dropped out because the speed limit was too low. The most dangerous thing a university does is convince a generational talent that finishing the syllabus is the achievement. It is not. It is the floor. A degree is a receipt for compliance. The future has never belonged to people who finish their homework. It belongs to the on

I know the last decade under the Trudeau-NDP was difficult and Albertans have every right to be frustrated. But thanks to the leadership of Albertans, the tide is finally turning in our favour. The vast majority of Trudeau’s ‘9 bad laws’ have been scrapped or reformed. Investment has begun flowing back into energy, tech, and agriculture, and we are creating more jobs than the rest of the country combined. Now is not the time to give up hope. Now is the time to double down and help Canada reach its incredible potential. With Alberta leading the way, we can turn Canada into one of the most strong and prosperous economies in the world. On October 19, I will be voting for Alberta to remain in Canada. I hope you will join me in doing so.

@Tradermayne Look, I don’t like paying taxes either. But if you adjust for the lower cost of education, insurance and health in Canada our expenditures are not really that different than any other G7 country including the US.

I don’t mind paying taxes. But if you don’t see the problem with taxes being the largest single expenditure for Canadian families. More than food, shelter etc. We are never going to agree.

Very good news! I asked @PierrePoilievre what he plans to do as Prime Minister of Canada about the abuse of child transition. He was more clear than he’s ever been in vowing to stop it!

"BOOM! Former Canadian PM Jean Chretien just annihilated Trump and the media: 'Trump says he doesn’t need our electricity, but if he cuts it, he'll be walking up the stairs in a Trump Towers with candles! He LOVES the spotlight, and the US media gives him plenty.' If he wants that kind of war, I’m not losing sleep over it. YIKES! This guy has more guts than every House Republican combined!

🚨 Premier Danielle Smith just dropped truth on the Alberta separation fight. She’s making it crystal clear: she and her entire UCP caucus support Alberta remaining in Canada. But she’s not backing down from democracy. The court ruling that threw out the separatist petition? She calls it “incorrect in law and undemocratic.” Her government is appealing it immediately. This is leadership that actually respects the will of Albertans instead of Ottawa’s gag order. While Carney and the Liberals keep pushing their anti-Alberta agenda, Danielle Smith is drawing a line: Canada yes — but not at the cost of Alberta’s voice. Albertans are done being treated like second-class citizens in their own country. #DanielleSmith #AlbertaStrong #StandUpForAlberta #CDNPoli #AlbertaSeparation #FreedomToChoose

Pierre Poilievre says that a Conservative government led by him will pass a castle law that allows Canadians to DEFEND their homes with whatever force they deem necessary against violent home intruders. Common sense.
