When the budget wasn't there for it, most food was omitted with only allowing myself cheap and quick protein bars and yes basic sandwiches but it just made me more exhausted after work as none these things provide enough to let me work in a sustainable fashion.

When I was working, I did eat mostly take out mainly because physical labor exhausts me past my limits. It was around $16-$22 a day with another $10 for little snacks to power through several miles of ditch and highways.
