Mize Attendance Center junior Hendrix Magee is this week’s MSB Statewide Player of the Week presented by Community Bank! Final: Mize 2, East Webster 0. Trey Myers pitches a complete game five-hit shutout with six strikeouts and had 2 hits to lead Mize. Holder Mcalpin was named the series MVP. Bulldogs claim MHSAA Class 2A state championship. Second state title overall and first since 2003.

Class 2A Playoffs Baseball Final: Mize 10, Clarkdale 3. Holder Mcalpin pitches 6.2 innings allowing five hits, three hits, and had 14 strikeouts to lead the Bulldogs. Series ties 1-1. Game 3 at Clarkdale tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
