Final: Mize 2, East Webster 0. Trey Myers pitches a complete game five-hit shutout with six strikeouts and had 2 hits to lead Mize. Holder Mcalpin was named the series MVP. Bulldogs claim MHSAA Class 2A state championship. Second state title overall and first since 2003.

👋🏻 from The Hill. It’s the battle of Bulldogs. Mize (27-8) hosting Clarkdale (29-3) in Game 2 of the MHSAA Class 2A South State Championship series. Follow along. ⚾️⚾️

Class 2A Playoffs Baseball Final: Mize 10, Clarkdale 3. Holder Mcalpin pitches 6.2 innings allowing five hits, three hits, and had 14 strikeouts to lead the Bulldogs. Series ties 1-1. Game 3 at Clarkdale tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

Mid 6: Mize 5, Clarkdale 3. Clarkdale strands a pair of runners.
