People don’t understand that it can REALLY be you. Homelessness, dęath, no job.. Literally anything unfortunate can happen in the blink of an eye, life crazy like that. Always stay humble & be grateful.
When you realize that Jesus fed 5,000, but only 500 followed him after the meal. He had 12 disciples, but only 3 went farther into the garden, and only 1 stood by him at the cross. The closer you get to the cross, the smaller the crowd becomes.
People with ADHD have what’s called an “interest-based nervous system.” They literally can’t force themselves to care about things that bore them. It’s not a choice. It’s not willpower. Their brains physically won’t produce the neurochemicals needed to engage unless something triggers interest, urgency, novelty, or challenge.
Signs of ADHD in women
1. Easily overstimulated by noise (a barking dog, a crying baby, music in the background)
2. Motivation swings between extreme productivity and zero energy
3. A constant mental overload, like having countless tabs open at once
4. Social exhaustion even great nights out require days to recover
5. Replying to messages only when the energy hits… or not at all
6. Staying up late despite being exhausted (hello, revenge bedtime procrastination)
tbh ADHD is not being able to clean your own kitchen for 6 days but volunteering at a community event for 6 hours on a Saturday because other people's needs activate your brain in ways your own needs don't.
there’s a point in your 30s when you realize hosting BBQs and dinner parties is the new club scene and high key better without the randoms, overpriced drinks, and terrible DJs still playing Dreams and Nightmares
You’re never wasting money when you’re taking a good trip, eating some good food, and experiencing some good scenery. enjoy life you can’t take the money with you.
New York, let's get organized.
In a city of over 8 million, just 400 people showed up to speak at the last Rent Guidelines Board hearing — where decisions about rents are made.
We can do better.
If we want a city that works for tenants and landlords alike, we need New Yorkers to show up and make their voices heard.
The next hearings are this June. Visit ORGANIZE.NYC.GOV to get involved.
