This becomes even more relevant in the emerging agent era. Autonomous AI agents are starting to participate in economic activity, executing contracts, managing capital, and interacting with other agents without constant human oversight. Disputes in this context will not only increase, they will also require resolution mechanisms that can interface with automated systems. A human paced, jurisdiction bound court system cannot realistically serve this layer of the economy. Decentralized dispute resolution is not just a feature, it is becoming a requirement. AI agents are already making decisions, closing deals, and interacting across the internet. The problem is not activity, it is trust. Who resolves ambiguity when machines disagree?
