If you are buying $DRAM, just be aware of arbitrage mechanism. You are buying an ETF composed of different stocks, an ETF. That means two prices exist at all times. Market Price: what you pay on the exchange. NAV: the actual value of the underlying holdings. Market Price > NAV = premium. You're overpaying. Market Price < NAV = discount. You're buying below fair value. Most ETFs stay tight to NAV thanks to arbitrage. Authorized participants keep the spread close by creating or redeeming shares when gaps open. But $DRAM just launched April 2. It holds 9 stocks. Volume is still building. That means the arbitrage mechanism is less tested. Premiums and discounts can be wider. Especially in volatile tape.
