@WallStreetSilv so when a 10 year old gets their period but hasn't learned about it in school because "math is priority" i expect that mother to teach their kid the ins and outs of sex ed. right?

@KuhllenOG @WallStreetSilv whether that be the period talk or as far as peppering in lgbtq+ conversation? it's not about praise and showing exactly what these people do, but about teaching kids that there are those kinds of people out there. i wish my parents taught me about lgbtq+ people when i was young

@KuhllenOG @WallStreetSilv seems to me by reading responses everyone gets it at different ages. i got taught about male and female anatomy in 5th grade (10-11 y/o) and made it out just fine. most of us laughed about it anyways. what's so ill about teaching kids how to kindly respect other peoples choices+

@MlACROSSlNG @WallStreetSilv That is taught in health class usually in 7th grade. That kind of information is appropriate and obviously useful for students entering puberty. What we don't want is sex indoctrination. But learning about body changes, anatomy, and human reproduction is important.
