Former WWE star Bull Buchanan has opened up on training his son, NXT's Brooks Jensen, to become a wrestler: "I knew Ben was gonna do this, it's all he wanted to do. He played all sports, he was actually a state champion wrestler but I knew it was all just to prepare himself to do this later on. "He approached me about training, I didn't have a ring at the time, but I said we'll let you referee a little bit, we'll go to the shows and you can referee the matches, and of course you always got the trampoline in the backyard we can go out and roll around in. "Right there towards the end, it kind of turned into, I retired in 2014, I joined the sheriff's office, I actually had a retirement show and everything, but right there towards the end, before he went to NXT, it kind of turned into a comeback tour for me. "I tagged with him once then everybody wanted us to tag together, and I hated saying no, so we went around the Georgia indies working as a tag team, and actually had a match against each other one time, and I figured out real quick. "I chopped him one time, and I stayed in Japan for 10 years and worked that style, and brought that style over to the United States, and worked that style with a lot of guys in Georgia. I chopped him one time and he chopped me back and right there I knew 'shit man I can't'. He was a stud. "I got so beat up that it took me almost a year after he left and went to NXT, it probably saved my life because I wasn't gonna quit tagging with him, and if I kept bumping like that I would probably be in a wheelchair. "But now my youngest son, Zack Buchanan, he works of course at my promotion Bullpen, but he works for a lot of the biggest promotions down here in Georgia."
