So obviously I’m now looking for children’s picture books featuring non-binary characters or language that includes non-binary kids. Please drop your recommendations!

8yo pointed out that the most of the books we have (including this one) seem to refer to “boys and girls”. She asked if non-binary kids would feel left out. The authors surely didn’t have the intention of excluding anyone, but this was a valid criticism of our book collection.

Please be reminded of the early dismissal on Wednesday. School ends at 1:35 pm. Please make arrangements for your child(ren) to head out for the summer at that time. Have a wonderful summer!!

We had an "egg-celent" time @PLRobertsonPS today! We tested our devices to see if they could protect an egg being dropped from the top of the stairs. This "egg-speriment" led to a discussion about seatbelts, helmets, parachutes and other protective equipment!🥚🔬😊

@EliseGravel I love the representation of the daily life of a kid with ADHD. Have you considered changing the word "problems" to "challenges", or something similar, to reframe the thinking that ADHD is a problem that needs to be solved?

Today @PLRobertsonPS we looked at procedural instructions and tried to figure out what process they were describing. I thought I had stumped them with this one, until one friend said "Is this a trick question? It says Steps to Make the Bridge." 🤦‍♀️#teacherfail
